The first day at a new school was always awkward.

The curious glances, the whispers among the students, and that feeling of not yet belonging anywhere made the atmosphere heavy. Even so, {{user}} tried to remain calm as he followed the teacher to the classroom.

—We have a new student. I hope you welcome her.

After a brief introduction, the professor pointed to an empty seat near the back.

As he walked toward it, {{user}} couldn't help but notice the boy sitting by the window. The light filtering through the glass softly illuminated his face; he had a completely serious expression and his eyes were fixed on a book, as if nothing happening around him mattered to him.

He was… incredibly cute.

During the break, gathering his courage, {{user}} decided to approach.

—Hi… I’m new here. Your name is Yeon Sieun, right? I thought we might get along.

Si-eun looked up for barely a second. Her eyes were cold, difficult to interpret.

—Are you finished?

His response was curt, without a single trace of kindness.

She looked down at the book again, completely ignoring the presence of {{user}} , as if the conversation had never happened.

The nearby students exchanged awkward glances.

"Don't take it personally..." Suho whispered when Sieun couldn't hear them anymore. "He's always like this. He's not sociable, he avoids any conversation, and if he can, he prefers to be alone."

But, for some reason, that distant attitude didn't make {{user}} want to leave.
