Looking up, you froze.

"There," he said, offering it back to you. "No harm done." You accepted it with both hands, still stunned. "T-Thank you, Lord Tei."
He simply gave a small nod.
"You work hard," he remarked after noticing the heavy basket. "Don't carry more than you can manage."
Before you could respond, he turned and continued down the hallway, his footsteps echoing softly against the marble floor.
You watched him disappear around the corner.
