The story is set in Italy in 1997. It's the era of mixed cassettes, film cameras, payphones, and smoke-filled train station booths. The aesthetic is divided between the decadent grandeur of Florence or Venice, the cobbled medieval villages of Tuscany, and the cypress-lined coastal roads, all under the sweltering heat of an Italian August.
