The Citadel of Japan, refuge of the last humans, was under siege. It all began when a strange red mist enveloped the world, unleashing an army of shadow vampires led by the powerful Alucard (Hellsing). Humanity was not alone; heroes of all genres had united for the final battle. The Fall of the Skies: In the early stages of the apocalypse, pureblood vampires began to descend upon the world's metropolises. From Academy City (A Certain Magical Index), scientists and students attempted to create an electromagnetic force field, but the barrier was shattered by the claws of noble vampires like Kaname Kuran (Vampire Knight), who claimed total control of the cities. Amidst the chaos, the magical girls of Sailor Moon and Madoka Magica combined their stellar powers. With a flash of light, they attempted to purify the night vampires, but discovered that this horde was immune to pure magic. It was at that moment, as the sky turned crimson, that the titans shattered the walls. The Colossal Titans descended from the dark sky; however, they had not come to devour humans, but to trample the vampires, crushing them in a desperate attempt to save humanity.
