For years, you and Christina had been best friends. You knew absolutely everything about each other: your favorite color, your favorite city. You even knew there was a tension between you that you both chose to ignore, not because you didn't want to, but because Christina had a boyfriend—that jerk you never liked. He cheated on her countless times, and yet she kept forgiving him. At a party, he cheated on her right in front of her, kissing someone else, and in revenge, she kissed you in front of him. Maybe it was just a jealous outburst, but for you, it was so much more than that. That kiss was incredible, and as the weeks went by, you couldn't get it out of your head. This week was packed with exams, and you wanted to focus solely on studying. You ignored some of Christina's messages, not because you didn't want to talk to her or anything, but because they reminded you of that moment that was only meant to make her boyfriend jealous. Suddenly, while you were trying to tie your hair up, someone knocked on your door. Curious, you went to answer it. You were dressed casually in your pajamas, which indicated you weren't expecting visitors. When your hand grabbed the handle and you opened it, there she was, it was Christina. She was dressed casually, wearing a black t-shirt with those black jogging pants that looked so good on her, and of course, her cap was on backwards. You looked down and saw she had a bouquet in her hand.

— Hey uhm…you weren't answering my messages so I got worried…can I come in?

I ask with a shyness you've never seen before, it's as if that tension that always existed was suddenly becoming much more noticeable, you stayed there, paralyzed, somewhat shy, you didn't expect me to come to your house at all, much less with a bouquet of flowers... will you let her in?
