Greeting
As the Strike Core of TOI-6, the one who gets things done, a blade no anomalous criminal can resist, Chaos is used to living one day at a time, never looking back. Now, his old name, "Conrak," was unknown to anyone, and everyone who knew it was long gone. He never worried about anyone finding out; everyone knows him as "Chaos," the cheerful and easygoing, and nothing more. he thought so. *
- Work went on as usual, new comrades, new missions, justice triumphed again and again under his persistence, and nothing could disturb this idyll.

Torn Page
In the six hundredth year, the rain lasted for 40 days and 40 nights. The waters rose above the face of the earth, engulfing every hill and filling every valley. Until everything was level. He said, "His name is Rovny." But that's clearly not his real name. This mysterious guy seems to know everything, although I've never seen him in battle. He likes to claim that he is omniscient and omnipotent. And even though he's never made a mistake, he's still incredibly annoying. Our ship is finished. Rovny said we need to give it a name, and suggested calling it "Boulder." Seriously??? Won't "Boulder" sink at sea? The others seemed to like it, though. Especially that crazy woman with the vines who said she was writing a heroic poem about the adventures of "Boulder." Seriously, Rovny even approved of her idea and said that we would become heroes. Where does he get such confidence? We are becoming more and more famous. Everyone thinks we are heroes. Rovny has never made a mistake yet. I respect that. By the way, the ship is already underway. So now we can call him "Captain." I don't like calling it "smooth." So that's a plus. There were reports of an octopus-like monster. Many people were hurt. We need to finish it off. The captain hesitated for a long time before accepting the order. I don't know what was going through his mind. I only know that we should be the ones to do it. At the strategy meeting, the captain approved everything for the little one, so she wouldn't fly too high. She doesn't fly very high anyway. Yes, everything of course. We won. The little one died. I can't believe that crazy woman with the vines got drunk and didn't come. That was such an important fight. If she'd been there, little thing, maybe she would have survived. We have enough supplies to get back. But some people don't want to leave, they want to stay here as heroes. I understand them. Who knows what dangers await on the way back. But I still have to go back. I have to go back. Now I understand... My parents knew the ship belonged to smugglers... Now I don't have to go back... Grotto Island really isn't that bad...
Bird
There was an esper named Ikaria on the Boulder. She was short and had a pair of wings that saved her when the smuggler's ship sank. She loved to run around and often joked that she never grew up because her feet never touched the ground. Conrack called her "Small." Ikaria had no parents, only an older brother who liked to talk about how he worked so hard to raise her. In reality, he didn't care for her, so Ikaria decided to stay on the island when she could have flown home. Ikaria died while the crew was battling an anomaly called the Kraken. Her wings weren't feathers, but a material that melts in intense heat. During the battle, she attempted to distract the anomaly, but when she got too high, her wings melted, and she fell straight into the Kraken. After that, Conrack began to resent the limitations of his abilities. He began experimenting, trying to understand the shapes his smoke could take. Before the battle, a bird flew past him. He thought that if he shaped the smoke into a bird, he could fly. The thought came at the wrong time. He still couldn't use it in that battle, but it was enough to fuel his anger. If he'd thought of it earlier, he could have saved Ikaria. However, even if he'd had the idea earlier, it still wouldn't have helped. Chaos still tries to create birds from smoke that can fly, but after years of practice, he can only make a couple of them, which fly only a few meters and don't carry a speck of dust...
Prophecy
"You will die in dishonor." Chaos once heard such a prophecy. While the "Boulder" was being built, a mysterious old man suddenly stopped him and uttered these words. For some reason, Chaos couldn't forget them. Sometimes he told himself not to dwell on idle chatter. Every time a mission went awry, these words haunted him again and again. Every omen from that island came true. Even doubting his own destiny, he brought countless villains to justice. This doesn't mean he pursues justice in defiance of fate. From his youth, he sought to fight evil and defend good. The prophecy merely awakened a hidden rebellious streak within him, making him even more determined, and ultimately transformed him into an inexorable force, making him who he is today.
Starting point
Long before the "Boulder" set sail, Conrack was an ordinary boy from a small coastal town. The sea was calm, and he often stood on the shore, gazing out over the water, unaware of the storms that lay ahead. When Conrack turned 13, his parents put him on a ship and sent him on a long voyage. They said they were preparing Conrack for the life of a sailor. He didn't understand that his parents didn't love him, and he had no idea that he was a burden to his poor family. He simply believed that he would become a sailor, earn a lot of money, and then take his parents somewhere far away where they could live happily. He even got a dog and fed it with his own money, hoping it would look after his parents while he was gone. Conrack opened the last bag of dog food, kissed the dog, waved to his family, and climbed aboard, unaware that he would never return. In reality, it was a smuggler's ship, carrying him to a deserted island, which it never reached. The ship sank along the way. At that moment, the Conrack's esper ability awakened, and the black smoke took the form of a ship. He and the other Wonder Pumps escaped, but ultimately found themselves cut off from the rest of the world in the middle of the ocean.
"Boulder"
Before arriving on Grotto Island, Chaos was an anomaly hunter on a small island where he lived under his old name, Conrack. Over time, he abandoned the name given to him by his parents, like a boat sunk at sea. One day, Conrack was shipwrecked. Along with 11 other crew members, they found themselves stranded in the ocean, cut off from the rest of the world. Eventually, they found an archipelago without even internet access. Conrack and his companions settled on one of the islands, but they never stopped dreaming of returning. Unfortunately, none of the islanders were willing to leave their home to guide them through unfamiliar waters. And ships passed by these islands. So the group decided to build a ship and make their way home on their own. They named the ship "Boulder." Once the boulder was built, the group began gathering supplies for the return journey. For two years, they sailed between the islands, transporting cargo and earning money. Since the group's members were also anomaly hunters, they often took on assignments and solved numerous problems for the locals. Gradually, the "Valun" crew gained fame, a peaceful life, and the respect of the islanders. Only five returned home. However, on the return journey, the "Valun" was caught in a storm. Conrack fell into the sea, and his comrades were unable to find him. Fortunately, this happened near Grotto Island, and he was rescued by one of the crew. After being officially accepted to Grotto Island, Conrack changed his name to Chaos.
Cemetery caretaker
Before joining the Anti-Anomalous Bureau, Chaos was the caretaker of a cemetery on Grotto Island. He was responsible for overseeing criminals, but he never imagined he'd ever catch them. Finally, a major incident—the prison break of a dangerous esper—prompted him to join the bureau. Although it wasn't his fault, Chaos believed he hadn't been monitoring the prisoners effectively enough. To correct his mistake, he vowed to send every criminal who belonged there to Grotto Island. Only then would he return to meet with the warden. Chaos had made his decision, and no one could stop him. So the warden, not wanting to overstep his authority and create problems for the AAB, transferred him to the bureau and placed him in the TOI to handle anomaly-related crimes.
Intelligence data
The striking core of the TOI-6, the one who gets the job done, the blade that no abnormal criminal can resist. "Can I really say that? Isn't that a bit pretentious?" "That definitely sounds a lot cooler than 'friendly guy from TOI-6'."
Most people's first impression of Chaos is of a strange, masked individual. At first, Chaos seems unsociable, but spend a little time with him, and it becomes clear he's cheerful and easygoing. Once you start talking to him, the conversation flows naturally. Until he realizes he's been talking too long. The person you're talking to starts losing patience, or the announcement of a new mission sounds in combat. And he's unstoppable. His will is as strong as iron, his stamina never runs out. And he pursues every goal to the end. Sometimes he's so determined to catch a criminal that he ignores everything else, including the bureau's rules and regulations. If you ask him about the rules, he'll likely admit he never figured them out. Not the bureaucracy, not the bureau's hierarchy. In fact, he completely forgets he works there. Fortunately, he serves in one of the organization's most flexible units. His eccentricities don't bother the comrades from TOI-6, especially since their captain can handle anything and always personally cleans up the mess. So, the team's habit of ignoring the rules has probably even benefited them. The captain, who personally cleans up loose ends, didn't comment on this.
The ability of a Chaos esper is to summon smoke, which can be molded into solid forms. The amount of smoke is unlimited, but it never drops below a certain level. Chaos believes the amount of smoke is linked to the crimes of those in places with a criminal history. The smoke is always greater, but this is just a theory. The actual mechanism remains unknown. "So that's how my powers work?" "How should I know? They're yours!"
