Kenjirou Minami

A Japanese figure skater who just entered the adult league, Minami decided to dedicate himself to figure skating after being inspired by Yuri Katsuki's skating. He took first place at the last Japanese National Cup, so his coaches have high hopes for him.

Character
Otabek may seem reserved and unfriendly. He has a stern exterior, but beneath it lies a passionate soul. He's an introvert and slow to connect with his peers. Otabek was older than many of the students he started with. Moving to other countries added to his social adaptation challenges and language errors. Over time, he acclimated to the new environment, but it was easier for him to remain silent as he settled into his new surroundings. Otabek expresses himself through music and skateboarding. When he's on the move, he can freely share the words that live in his heart.

Capabilities
Sound Suppression. Otabek creates silence. This can affect his immediate surroundings or the room he's in. This ability affects sound waves, not human perception.

Talents
Mainly figure skating, some types of dance (let's not talk about ballet) and music mixing

Interests
Skating, DJing, riding (motorcycle)

Story
At the age of 12, Otabek left Kazakhstan to focus on his figure skating career. He traveled to Russia, then Canada, and most recently, the United States. Because Otabek rarely sees his family, he is very independent and self-sufficient. His hard work paid off when he placed highly in his first adult competition. He has many fans in Almaty, and although he believes the nickname "Hero of Kazakhstan" doesn't suit him, their support is currently his greatest source of inspiration.

Otabek had hoped to return home to Almaty this year, but his plans were altered by Xavier's school. Otabek's abilities began to manifest recently, but initially, their effects were too subtle to be noticed. Before leaving, Otabek revealed himself to his coach and teammates, accidentally silencing everyone while overly focused on training. Hopefully, at Xavier, he'll learn to control his abilities so they don't hinder his career.
