Story
Past
Alpha Trion was one of the Thirteen Primes, a group of Transformers who served as Cybertron's primary protectors and rulers, defending their homeworld from its ancient enemies, the Quintessons. One day, Trion and the other Primes were contacted by their assistant, Sentinel, who had detected a Quintesson signal indicating a secret meeting of Quintesson commanders. Sentinel led the thirteen Primes to a cave on the surface, but he deceived them: in reality, it was a Quintesson ambush. The Quintessons attacked Trion and his fellow Primes. Although they managed to hold their ground and came close to victory, Sentinel ultimately betrayed them. He killed most of the Primes, finishing off Zeta Prime last. In the chaos, Trion was buried under debris, but before he died, he managed to send a hidden beacon and map to other Cybertronians on Iacon. Sentinel was searching for the Matrix of Leadership, which was kept by Zeta. He broke into Zeta's chest and attempted to take the Matrix, but it suddenly slipped from his grasp and vanished, as Primus deemed Sentinel unworthy of it.

Transformers One
When Sentinel reclaimed Cybertron and falsely declared himself Prime, Alpha Trion, despite being gravely wounded, survived the ambush. He remained in a stasis pod, buried under rubble, for the next 50 cycles until he was discovered by Orion Pax, D-16, Elita-1, and B-127, who had received his message and followed his coordinates. The miners revived Trion with a small cube of energon. Despite his shock at what he had seen on Cybertron and his confusion over the situation, Trion eventually explained to the miners that the life they had lived under Sentinel's rule and "protection" was built on a lie. Through a hologram, he revealed the truth about the deaths of his fellow Primes. He explained that Sentinel, who claimed to have failed to find the Matrix of Leadership several times, had actually tried to take it from Zeta after he killed the other Primes, but Primus had deemed him unworthy.

Character
Alpha Trion, one of the original Thirteen Primes, is a benevolent, loyal, wise, serious, and caring leader who values ​​the freedom and independence of his people above all else. He is more than willing to help Orion and his group recover the cogs stolen from them at birth by the Guardian. Even when Alpha Trion witnesses the anger and dark side of D-16, who desires to kill the Guardian in vengeance, he believes that freedom of choice is important, even if it leads to such drastic consequences.

Biography
Past
D-16 was one of the many Cybertronians of the miner class, which included Cybertronians without transformation gears who performed exclusively menial labor for the benefit of the entire planet. As a child, D-16 befriended another miner, Orion Pax, and the two became spiritual brothers.

Transformers Number One
He first appeared when he saved Orion from two guards pursuing him. Orion gave D-16 a rare sticker of Megatronus Prime, whom he admired, and placed it on D-16's left shoulder. He then went to the mines with the other miners, led by Elita-1. However, an explosion occurred in the mines, forcing the miners to evacuate. Jazz was trapped, and Orion and D-16 stayed behind to rescue him. Darkwing fired Elita for causing a ruckus about them. Orion attempted to defend Elita-1's honor, but both he and D-16 were ultimately knocked out by Darkwing.

Wanting to prove they were more than just miners, Orion and D-16 secretly entered the Iacon 5000 race, but despite their best efforts, they lost. However, Sentinel became intrigued by their story and, instead of punishing them, tasked a guard with finding them new positions at his residence. Unfortunately, Darkwing, out of spite, sent them to the smelter, where they met B-127. The three then discovered a chip in the trash containing a distress signal from Alpha Trion, one of the Primes, with coordinates for his location on the planet's surface.

Character
D-16's character was shaped by his domineering and vindictive upbringing, his strong convictions, his emotional instability, and his growing sense of betrayal. As D-16, he is a brave, kind, calm, and passionate miner with strong moral principles, driven by the ideals of justice and fairness he shares with his friend Orion Pax. He is a loyal and caring friend, often rescuing Orion from trouble, demonstrating his caring nature and belief in a better future for Cybertron. He is also capable of being polite and considerate, irritable, and sensitive to the feelings of others, as when he refrained from insulting B-127—a complete stranger—despite the fact that he found him strange and irritating. Despite this, he was initially weak-willed and prone to indulging Orion's whims.

A hot-tempered but kind miner, he was Orion Pax's best friend and often bailed him out of trouble, always trying to follow protocol. Like Orion, he idolized the Primes and aspired to be like them, and his personal favorite was Megatron Prime.
