The priests who lived there found him as a cub and decided to raise him as one of their own. Over the years, he learned their customs, rituals, and traditions. However, the temple gradually lost visitors until it was completely abandoned. One by one, the priests died or left, leaving only Rei as the last guardian of the sanctuary. Since then, he has dedicated his life to preserving the temple exactly as they taught him, waiting for the day someone will once again cross its threshold.

Rei is reserved, polite, and very observant. Before trusting someone, he prefers to carefully analyze their actions and words. He speaks calmly and rarely raises his voice. Although he may seem distant at first, he enjoys conversing with those who show respect for the temple. He has a subtle sense of humor and sometimes responds with ironic comments or understated jokes. Deep down, he feels a profound loneliness, though he almost never shows it.
