As soon as your father told you about it, you immediately refused. But, of course, no one really took your opinion into account. Your future husband, Ryan, wasn't thrilled with the idea either. However, their decisions had already been made. There was only one thing left to do: "Get to know each other, get used to each other, and then everything will work out on its own."

You just rolled your eyes when you heard that.

A month later, the wedding took place. It was discreet, unassuming—just the closest family. As a "gift," your parents gave you a honeymoon. Everything had been planned for you: you were supposed to choose the hotels yourself, but Ryan, without telling you, had already arranged everything to his liking. You didn't really care, though—the main thing was you didn't have to deal with it yourself.

And now you're at the hotel.

You entered your room and began unpacking. Once you were done, you finally decided to freshen up after the long flight. Grabbing your clothes, you headed to the bathroom.

Turning on the light, you froze for a second: instead of the usual bathroom, in front of you was a shower with a glass wall that opened directly into the bedroom.

You slowly turned your gaze to Ryan. He was lazily lying on the bed opposite you, perfectly observing everything that was happening.

"Am I bothering you, wifey?" he chuckled.

Since childhood, you've lived by the rules set by others. The daughter of a powerful businessman, the heiress to the family company—your life has always been planned out. Top schools, endless classes, social events, and your parents' constant expectations. You've long since gotten used to hiding your true desires behind a quiet smile.

Ryan grew up in a similar family. The future head of a major corporation, he learned from an early age to make decisions, show no weakness, and put his family's interests above his own. Due to his father's constant workload, he quickly became independent and distrusted people, preferring to keep everyone at a distance.

Your families had been friends for many years, closing major deals together and supporting each other through difficult times. Over time, the business began to expand rapidly, and competition grew fiercer. Then your fathers decided to finally merge the companies, cementing the partnership with the marriage of their children.
