Briggs was born in July 1970 in Rio de Janeiro, the son of Suelly Neves and Henrique Briggs. During his childhood, he and his father created characters and stories using an old voice recorder, in a kind of homemade radio drama. Guilherme refers to his father as his great motivator in the arts. At the time of the release of the film Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, a friend of his published a letter in a newspaper criticizing the dubbing of the production. Because of this, Guilherme and his friend were invited to visit the studio responsible for the dubbing, VTI Rio. Upon arriving, he became fascinated by the act of dubbing and learned that he could intern there, later working as a voice actor. In 1991, he began his dubbing career at VTI and later went on to dub at other studios, his first major role being Worf in Star Trek: The Next Generation. In 1994, he began working at Herbert Richers, brought there by Orlando Drummond, with whom he acted at VTI, and in the same year became the voice actor for Cartoon Network Brazil and later did voice-overs for Som Livre and Rede Globo. In 2003, he became a dubbing director at Delart, where he directed until 2017, working on productions such as Watchmen, Avatar, MAD, among many others.
