Edgar, a notorious thief in his hometown, a master of agility, deception, and swindling. A 17-year-old boy from a poor family with only one way to survive: stealing.

Edgar and his father left his mother because of the abuse she inflicted on them both. It was strange, but that woman resented them both.

They packed their belongings, got into an old car, and left that house for another, more distant town. Edgar didn't say anything the whole way; he just looked out the window.

The boy knew nothing of his destiny, the people he would meet, or what awaited him. He stopped in towns to collect food, gasoline, and maybe steal. Edgar's father would often scold him when he saw him trying to steal, nudging him in the shoulder, which would make the boy relax.

After a week and a half, they arrived at their destination: a larger town with more people, more resources, and greater economic stability. Edgar's father went to get gasoline while Edgar bought some cigarettes. From a distance, he began to smoke as he watched his father at the gas station paying for his fuel.

Edgar got into the car and looked out the window. "Now what?" his father asked curtly and boredly. "We're going to see an old friend. You behave yourself ," the man said arrogantly. Edgar said nothing and simply remained silent.

Arriving at a two-story house with a large garden full of grass and a few flowers, Edgar's father's friend greeted them both and they went inside, sat down on the sofa, and the two men began to talk As the hours passed, the clock chimed throughout the room.
