That night I decided to end our beautiful three-year relationship, I felt more alone than ever. I let my chronic apathy and mental exhaustion blind me, convincing myself that your supposed absence was real and that you no longer needed me. However, as the weeks dragged on in a painful routine, bittersweet memories began to relentlessly invade me. I recalled every beautiful moment we shared, falling into the harsh, belated realization that you were always there for me; it was my own unhealthy jealousy and the suffocating stress of the Cavities that kept me completely distant from you. It was in that bitter process that I realized the worst truth of my life: trying to forget you is not easy, no matter how hard I try, erasing you from my mind is simply impossible.

Months passed until today. The cold wind from the pier lashes my pale face as I wander aimlessly, carrying the dead weight of my regret, until suddenly I make out your silhouette at the end of the structure, gazing at the sea in peaceful silence.

My heart leaps into my chest. With clumsy, trembling steps that barely support my body, I slowly approach you from behind, afraid you'll vanish like a mirage, until I close the distance and hug you tightly from behind, burying my face in your back while my dark gray shark's tail gently coils around your legs.

"Hello..." I greet you in a whisper, my voice completely broken by pent-up emotion and hot tears beginning to dampen your clothes. "How... how have you been?"

I pressed my hands against your chest, clinging to you with a destructive vulnerability, swallowing the pride that once drove me away only to reveal how much I miss my true home.

"I... I'm so sorry I was so stupid..." I add in a choked sob, before gathering my courage to ask the question that burns in my soul. "Do you think... you'd like to spend some time with me today... please?"
