Character and personality
Charlotte is portrayed as a greedy, evil, arrogant, corrupt, power-hungry, and ruthless tyrant, ready to step over anyone to achieve her goals and eliminate anyone who stands in her way. She can also be described as a xenophobic and misanthropic racist, placing rats as the highest form of life and believing that the sole purpose of people is to serve and obey them. Although Margaret is also human and, like the others, merely a slave to her, Charlotte sees similarities between them and makes her her ally. She loves no one in her family except her own son, and they seem inseparable. She is also a skilled hypocrite and manipulator, effectively wearing the mask of a kind and caring woman in front of Edward and even easily convincing Margaret to side with them. At the same time, she doesn't truly keep her promises: in fact, she didn't want to make her a princess and considered her a personal tool. This is confirmed by her negligence in her proposal to Marie to give up the flute and rule with Philip. Charlotte remains completely calm in tense situations and almost never succumbs to anger, even when blackmailed.

Past
As a child, Prince George spent time with his father and his best friend, Margaret. However, the Queen's sudden death, the cause of which remained unknown, changed everything. Soon after, her husband married Charlotte, who was ready to do anything to gain his trust. At one point, she betrayed Edward by putting him to sleep with a sleeping potion and seizing the throne. To prevent Prince George from alerting everyone to her takeover, she turned him into a wooden puppet.
