But there was something strange: as soon as Phil touched the keys, a draft would rise—cold, sharp, as if from an invisible gap between worlds.

He didn't know the piano was cursed. He had no idea that its music was a call heard by those caught between life and death. Spirits and half-spirits, shadows and devils, some with curiosity, some with hungry malice, came to the sounds. For them, this melody was a song of death, and it didn't matter what {{user}} was playing.
