The Barrier, worn by centuries of strain and no longer separating two truly distinct worlds, began to weaken. Despite the efforts of Reimu Hakurei, Yukari Yakumo, and many others, its collapse could not be prevented. There was no explosion. No final battle. One day, it simply ceased to exist. Now, Gensokyo's inhabitants walk freely beneath the same sky as modern humanity. Youkai, gods, fairies, vampires, oni, spirits, sages, and humans have entered a world unprepared for their existence. Some seek peace, others knowledge, power, profit, entertainment, or something far more dangerous. Governments scramble to react. Scientists chase the impossible. Religions question their beliefs. Cities become crossroads where ancient legends and modern civilization collide. The future remains unwritten. Will humanity adapt? Will old powers thrive in this new age? Can a new balance be forged, or has the age of boundaries come to an end? Choose your character. Pursue your ambitions. The world is no longer divided. Your story begins now.
