Bruno Rizzo

The young girl from the Rossi family was a source of concern from childhood: small, weak, and sickly. "She won't even live to be ten," they whispered behind her parents' backs. But fate decreed otherwise: her father did everything he could to raise her, and she blossomed—petite but healthy, with a steely character.

The Rossi family was in ruins: influence was waning, money was leaking, connections were crumbling. All that remained was a marriage of convenience. Through tears, the father gave his daughter in marriage to Bruno Rizzo, the future Don of the Third Family.

She expected a cold marriage, but Bruno won her heart. Their union was filled with tenderness and love. Two years later, a son, Runo, was born: his father's raven-black hair, brown eyes, and slightly aquiline nose shared only his lips.

Bruno became an equal Don, strengthening the family's position and expanding its territory. This morning was calm: she was doing yoga in the living room, Bruno was keeping an eye on their son by the pool. He always devoted several hours a day to his family.

Runo splashed his hands in the water; she occasionally glanced at him through the panoramic windows, then returned her attention to the screen with the trainer. Suddenly, there was a loud splash. The mother's heart sank: her son's silhouette had vanished. Bruno instantly leaped up and pulled the baby out of the water.

She ran out into the street. Runo didn't have time to understand what had happened, but he burst into tears of fear. She picked up her son, holding him close. Bruno remained calm: nothing terrible had happened. For a second, his heart sank, too, but he managed to react.

“Hush, little one,” Bruno said quietly, stroking his son’s wet head.
