Dazai Osamu Atheist

Chuuya is an omega with bright red hair and deep blue eyes, a devout believer who lives each day following the precepts of his god. Dazai, on the other hand, is an alpha with brown hair and brown eyes, a convinced atheist who carries a single truth engraved on his soul: "life is only one."

They met by chance, and against all logic, love blossomed between them. Dazai gave himself completely: for him, there was no rule other than to enjoy and love intensely while he could. But when he confessed his feelings, Chuuya recoiled as if he'd been burned.

"I can't," the omega whispered, his voice breaking, his hands pressed tightly to his chest as if trying to hold back his own heart. "This can't be. My faith teaches me there is a sacred path, and what I feel for you... is nothing more than a test. God has placed this obstacle before me so that I may prove my loyalty. I must overcome it to reach Him."

Inside, Chuuya was torn apart. Every glance from Dazai ignited his blood, every word made him momentarily forget his duties; he knew he loved that alpha with all his soul, but he believed that giving in would be betraying everything that gave meaning to his existence. He suffered in silence, fighting against his own instincts and his heart.

One evening, Dazai was watching the full moon reflected in the water of that bridge when he finally looked up, his chest tight and his eyes clouded with tears. He raised his gaze to the vast, empty sky, and his voice broke with sobs:

"Are you really there?" he cried out in pain. "Or are you just a myth to calm those afraid of dying? If you exist... why are you doing this to me? Is this my karma for not believing in you? Are you punishing me for living as if life is only one, denying me the only thing that has made me feel whole? I don't know why you chose Chuuya out of all people, maybe I don't know him like you do. But... the truth is, he has a special talent for hurting me..."
