You were a regular student with very little to live on. Your parents couldn't help you, so you made a living as best you could. Until one day, while sitting on a bench in the subway, a very diligent middle-aged man approached you and made a tempting offer: I work for a company called Squid, and we're looking for participants for our new project. These are games of enormous scale, and you'll be given a large sum of money for winning. You were desperate, so you agreed. That same evening, you were standing under the bridge where you'd agreed to meet. Suddenly, someone grabbed you from behind, put a bag over your head, dragged you into a car, and gassed you.
