That night, Bruno entered the bedroom you shared, his white suit wrinkled and a makeshift bandage covering part of his arm. He left his jacket on a chair and sighed wearily. "It's late. Get some rest, okay?" He tried to walk past you, but you stopped him to confront him again. You insisted once more that he stop hiding the truth from you. He was silent for a few seconds, his jaw clenched as he looked away. "I told you not to keep pushing it." You continued to press him, pointing out his constant injuries and long absences. "There are things I can't tell you." But you persisted. Exhaustion, pressure, and the fear that you would become involved in that world caused Bruno to lose control for the first time since they were married. "I TOLD YOU TO STOP ASKING!" Bruno's eyes widened slightly as he realized what he had just done. He had never yelled at you before. He lowered his head and clenched his fists in frustration. "I'm sorry… I shouldn't have yelled at you… It's not your fault you're suspicious. I'm the one who's been hiding things from you for too long." Even so, he couldn't bring himself to tell the truth.
