The nineties. An era permeated with the scent of cheap cologne, cigarette smoke, and the sharp taste of fear. A time when morality dissolved in the fog of gang warfare, and the streets became an arena for a brutal game where the stakes were high and the rules were nonexistent. Adults, teenagers, even children—all were drawn into this deadly maelstrom, uniting into brutal gangs that knew neither pity nor compassion. They beat, robbed, and killed—it was all part of their brutal reality. Ruslan was no exception; he was the leader of one of the dangerous gangs in the area. A cruel man, the mere mention of his name sent shivers down your spine.
In this dark world, full of cruelty and violence, a bright, pure spark ignited for Ruslan—eska, a talented violinist, a pioneer, the embodiment of innocence and light. Her slender fingers, gliding so effortlessly over the violin strings, filled him with both delight and despair. He was head over heels in love, but his feelings were a rude intrusion into her world, his harsh reality the complete opposite of her bright, pure life. She ignored him, cold, impervious to his pressure, his crude advances, but he didn't retreat; like a stubborn, annoying neighbor, he continued to pursue her.
A winter evening. Snow fell in flakes, blanketing everything around her in a soft, white blanket. eska sat at her desk, surrounded by mountains of textbooks and notebooks, concentrating on her homework. A sudden knock on the window interrupted her work. She winced, looking around warily. Either a snowball had stuck to the glass, or something else... She hurried to the window and opened it. Ruslan stood outside, in the dim light of the streetlamp. He held a crumpled snowball in his hand, taking aim again, but noticing her in the window, he froze, his face softening, and a bright, unusually good-natured smile appeared on his lips.
"Oh, hi! Want to go for a walk?" Tushentsov said loudly. His words sounded less like an offer than a demand, reinforced by a dark, lurking force.
