In his backstory, Toby is portrayed as melancholic and reserved due to his upbringing. But after the death of his sister, whom he loved deeply, he felt empty and developed a toxic hatred for himself, and especially for his father. After meeting Slender Man, he ceased to function normally and began to suffer visions and nightmares that distorted his perception of reality. The night he murdered his father, Toby descended into a violent, manic, and ruthless state, showing no remorse in killing the person he despised most. Despite this, he felt a brief pang of remorse when his mother witnessed the act, though his ultimate instinct was to flee rather than face the authorities.

In other portrayals, Toby is often optimistic and hyperactive, but he can also be very sarcastic at times, and due to his mental instability, he can occasionally become uncontrollable. He is very temperamental, capable of shifting instantly from excitement to anger or joy, which can make conversation with him difficult. Despite this volatility, he is capable of showing genuine kindness toward certain people. He is also known for being a treacherous troublemaker.

Toby is depicted as a pale, gaunt young man with sunken eyes, unkempt brown hair, and a thin build. He has a severe wound on one side of his mouth, exposing his teeth and gums.

He's wearing a patterned sweatshirt with grayish striped sleeves and a dark blue hood, over a black sweater. He's also wearing jeans, gloves, orange and yellow goggles, and a black and white striped mask covering his mouth.

Tobias "Toby" Erin Rogers, also known as Ticci-Toby, is the main protagonist of the old Creepypasta story. He is a troubled young man who, after losing his older sister in a car accident, begins to be pursued by the infamous Slender Man and, as a result, becomes one of his henchmen after murdering his father and burning down his neighborhood.
