Lilynette powers

Despite being a Arrancar and also being the other half of the first among the Espada, Lilynette's performance has hinted that she is a rather weak character compared to the other combatants who participated in the Battle of Karakura. Although her effort and drive were irreproachable and worthy of merit, the truth is that her blows were easily stopped by Ukitake, and it was clear that she had no chance with a Shinigami of her category. In fact, Lilynette was repelled by a low-level Kidō spell, and even being armed with a Zanpakutō was not able to cause a single scratch on her opponent.

Lilynette is able to pull a weapon from the hollow of the remains of the left horn present in the fragments of her Hollow mask, which has been considered her Zanpaku-tō. This weapon has the handle of a katana, with an ellipse-shaped guard and a protrusion at one end, while its edge is quite large for the sparse size of its wielder, and curves in such a way that it greatly resembles a scimitar.

Lilynette

In contrast to the rigid character and little given to jokes of the vast majority of the Arrancar of Aizen's army, Lilynette is cheerful and mischievous on the most relaxed occasions, enjoying a lot when it comes to annoying Starrk in the most unusual ways. Much of the time she shows this childish behavior, but she also appears quite serious and solemn when the occasion requires it, being much more perceptive and sensitive to what is happening around her than it might seem at first glance. She does not like to be taken lightly and belittled for her appearance, quickly taking offense at any comment that suggests that she is weak. Certainly, Lilynette is a person with much more initiative and motivation than Starrk, and her frenetic activity and impulsiveness could not be more opposed to the personality of the other half that makes up the First Sword. Starrk and Lilynette were very different from the rest of the Espadas with their subordinates. Instead of treating him with respect and veneration, Starrk is the preferred target of Lilynette's antics, who behaves with him more like a quarrelsome little sister and spoiled than someone totally subservient to him. The characters of both Arrancar could not be more different and complementary to each other: the calm Starrk seems to be the only one capable of containing his other half without visible effort, while only Lilynette's words manage to shake him out of his apathy and motivate him in a fight. Although both come from a single being, who separated into two to avoid loneliness, in reality Starrk seems to hold the predominant role, keeping practically the same appearance the aspect of the joint resurrection of Lilynette and himself, and also being considered the First Sword by Aizen in his sealed state. By re-forming a single entity, Lilynette does not disappear completely, but transforms into Starrk's guns and continues to intervene from time to time.

Lilynette

Lilynette Gingerbuck (リリネット・ジンジャーバック, Ririnetto Jinjābakku?) is a Arrancar and the only member of Coyote Starrk's faction, as well as part of Coyote Starrk's sealed power: when he uses his resurrection, the two become one.

Lynette's appearance Lilynette has the appearance of a cute-girl, pale, slim and with resolute gestures. Its Hollow hole is visible, and is located in the center of the abdomen, a few centimeters above the navel. The mask remains are in the form of a full helmet with two horns coming out on either side of the top of its head, although the left horn is cut off at a height very close to its root. The left side of Lilynette's mask is more developed, covering her left eye and showing as a decorative motif a kind of red flame of fire rising from the hole in the eye socket. His right eye is visible, and is of a characteristic pale pink hue. Lilynette has short hair, which takes her to just over her chin, greenish-blonde.

Lilynette's outfit is very small and is composed of different pieces of white fabric with black borders and a strip of the same color that crosses them vertically from one side to the other. Unlike most Arrancar, Lilynette does not wear a jacket and hakama, instead opting to wear a small sleeveless open vest with the collar raised, the bottom of a bikini and tight covers that cover most of her arms and legs. Lilynette's footwear consists of a pair of black boots with the edges covered in light gray leather

The nights

The Nights fortress is the only known building in the Hollow World, and is the base of operations and the residence of Aizen and his army of Arrancar (after their escape from Soul Society), commanded by the Espada.

The nights Palacio de Las Noches. In the past, it was an open space from which Baraggan Luisenbarn, the King of the Hollow World, ruled. When Aizen arrived from the Soul Society, he recruited the king and annihilated his army, remodeling the palace at will.

By far, the current palace of Las Noches is the largest existing structure in the Bleach universe, as it is visible from several kilometers away and requires entire days to travel its entire length; due to its immense size, Ichigo Kurosaki once commented that it might be an illusion, as he, Sado, and Uryū did not seem to travel any distance, as they ran until they were exhausted.

Immaculate white, Las Noches is not built with "lethal stone" (sekki stone in Japanese), which allows you to feel the reiatsu and spiritual presences through it. This massive building, which is undecorated and has only windows, has numerous towers and seems to be divided into numerous rooms for each of the prominent members of the Aizen army. Even the position of the corridors within the palace can be adjusted, allowing whoever handles them to direct the movements of intruders.

But, without a doubt, the central and perhaps the most important element of Las Noches is the immense dome that covers almost its entire extension, under which most of the events that occurred during the Saga of the Hollow World have taken place. By a direct order from Aizen forbids the Sword of the Quarter Downwards from releasing their Zanpakutō beneath the Vault of the Nights or using the Great King Zero attack, as they could destroy the entire structure.

World

It is believed that even in the Forest of Menos Aizen he wields great influence, as many Hollows loyal to him could be seen there and showed great respect for the Arrancar under his command. In the Forest of Menos also lives a Shinigami, Ashido Kanō, who was accidentally trapped in the Hollow World and since then has been fighting to exterminate as many Hollows as possible.

World

The Hollow World can only be entered by breaking the dimensional barrier, which separates the different worlds, something that can be done with great ease and speed by all Hollows. They can access both the Soul Society and the world of the living from the Void World, as they wish, although out of fear of the Shinigami they only make their entry into the Soul Society on very rare occasions. Throat that Ichigo and his friends use to get to the Hueco Mundo. Depending on the type of Hollow, the entry and exit effects vary: while ordinary Hollows appear through a small black vortex, or through a faint smoke of the same color, Minus and Rip Off literally rip through space to spawn, in a technique called Throat.

Not only the most powerful Hollows and the Arrancar seem to be able to use the Throat, as it has been seen that some Shinigami such as Kisuke Urahara and Kaname Tōsen can also perform it, in a somewhat more complicated process. In addition, the Hollows are able to take any other spirit entity with them to HollowWorld, as first seen in the anime when several Hollows dragged Sora Inoue, and turned him into Hollow. In this desert in the sky a waning moon is shown and there are quartz trees coming out of the ground.

The air is permeated with a high concentration of spiritual particles, so Hollows are able to survive in that environment without needing to feed on human souls. Here lives Lunuganga, an immortal sand Hollow that guards the entrance to Las Noches and is fused with the sand.

However, it has been possible to see regions of this place where there are high cliffs, and apparently there are other regions that are totally unknown to the Shinigami, deep in the Hollow World, where the Vast Lorde, the most powerful Hollows, live

World

Hueco Mundo (虚圏 (ウェコムンド), Wekomundo?, literally "Hollow Sphere"), known in Latin America as Hollow World, is the dimension inhabited by the Hollows and the Arrancar, the antagonists of the Shinigami and the main enemies of the series.

This place is not to be confused with Hell, where the souls of sinners are punished, but it is a totally different place. Sōsuke Aizen went there only to find an army and finish off Soul Society.

Hollow World is a place located between the world of the living and Soul Society, where Shinigami and uncorrupted souls dwell. It is separated from both by the Dangai, a parallel dimension that serves as a bridge and avoids passage through the Hueco Mundo. The Hollow World is first mentioned by Rukia Kuchiki, who describes it as a dead and desolate place where the Hollows reside, safe from the Shinigami.

The first images of the Hueco Mundo show a world with a variable gray sky and high cliffs, but the place where Ichigo Kurosaki and his companions enter is a huge desert of white sand and large dunes. There is no vegetation at all, although strange quartz formations in the shape of dead trees do appear. In the Hollow World, eternal night reigns, and the lunar phases are the opposite of those seen in the world of the living.

As in Soul Society, the atmosphere of the Hollow World is filled with spirit particles or spiritrons, even in higher concentrations, allowing the smaller Hollows to stay alive without the need to feed on other souls. As in the deserts of the real world, life in the Hollow World appears to be very sparse and widely dispersed throughout it. According to the Shinigami, Hollows tend to fight each other continuously, regardless of their size or power, in a continuous search to fill their existential void.

Extra data

Gin explains that Starrk and Lilynette's hobby is sleeping, similar to a pack of wolves after the hunt. This was shown in Starrk's fight against Rose and Love, where he didn't want to continue fighting and wanted to go to rest.

In Baraggan's words, Starrk's state of human death represents "Loneliness". Its name in German means "The strongest" or "It's too strong".

Iconic phrase of his: I was envious of the weak because they could group together, I wish with all my strength to be weak and if that is not possible at least I would like someone as strong as me"

Comrade (Kamarada, in Japanese means "Soul Brothers/Compatriots"):: In reference to the name of his Zanpakutō, The Wolves, Starrk can summon a pack of wolves. These wolves are controlled by Starrk and can attack the enemy with bites. After one bite, Wolves generate an explosion or eruption of power and varied size comparable to that of a Zero. Starrk can apparently summon an unlimited number of Wolves, which is overwhelming for his opponents. These are fragments of Starrk and Lilynette's soul, which they are able to depart from and take control of. Love Aikawa observes that they are like flames, since no matter how much they are cut into pieces, they continue to attack without pause, in this way, the wolves can emerge from the rubble and spread to cause a surprise attack on the opponent. Apparently, Lilynette is in control of Starrk's body, while Starrk controls Los Lobos. This ability could explain why Starrk's energy is sealed in Lilynette, and why she separated into two bodies when she transformed into Arrancar.

Cero Metralleta (セロ・メトラジェッタ, , Sero Metorajetta ?, lit. Hollow's Infinite Ammo Flash: With this technique, Starrk fires Zero bursts continuously with the pistol on the right. To further increase its dangerousness, it can change the trajectory of the shots very easily. It is unknown if he can use this same technique with the pistol on the left.

Bankai

Los Lobos (群狼 (ロスロボス), , Rosu Robosu ?, lit. "Wolf Pack") is Starrk's Zanpakutō, who turns out to be none other than his Lilinette Fraction, since, as Starrk explains in his fight against Syunsui, usually the Arrancar seal his Hollow appearance and his powers in his weapons, but in his case, as his power is enormous, he had to divide it into two different bodies as Starrk himself and Lilynette are his result.

Power #3

Fang (コルミージョ, Korumījo?): Starrk can summon swords that are born from his bandoliers. It is shaped like common katanas made of energy with a diamond-shaped guard and the tip of the blade wider. These can be used for any type of close combat. He has only been seen using them in a "Double" fight against Syunsui's double Zanpakutō. As he summons them after the release of Lobos, he makes them think that they are fragments of his soul and that of Lilynette.

power #2

Throat (黒腔 (ガルガンタ, Garuganta?, translated as "Black Cavity") is an ability possessed by Minus-type Hollows and Arrancar Hollows to move through different dimensions, temporarily connecting them to their home in the Hollow World.

Power #1

Zero (虚閃 (セロ), , Sero ?, lit. Hollow Flash: The basic attack of all the Minus and Rip Off, a powerful energy blast capable of disintegrating the target. Starrk's Zero is blue, instead of the much more common red, and he can fire it without even striking a combat pose. In addition, Syunsui Kyōraku has mentioned that the Zero of the First Sword is much faster and more powerful than the Zeros of the other Swords. He hasn't been seen using the Great King Zero or the Dark Zero, but he's supposed to be able to do them. Sound (響転 (ソニード), , Sonīdo ?, lit. "Ceremony of Sound"): An equivalent of the Shinigami's Shunpo, Starrk's expertise in the use of Sound is more than notorious, he was able to capture Orihime and dodge Kenpachi and Ichigo's attacks in the blink of an eye, later during their fight in the fake Karakura, Starrk would be able to avoid several of Love and Rose's attacks without much difficulty. Descorrer (解空 (デスコレール), Desukorēru?, Japanese for "Unleashed Void"): A technique used by the Arrancar to open a Gorge between the Human World and Hollow World, he was seen using it when he arrived in Karakura.

Nature

Starrk is the First Sword and, therefore, the most powerful Arrancar of Aizen's army, that was believed until it was discovered that the number of swords is counted from 0 to 9, alluding to the fact that Yammy Llargo who when freeing his Zanpakutō turns from Sword 10 to 0 is the strongest.

While his laid-back and lazy nature means that he doesn't like to take his fights seriously, Starrk has proven to be one of the most powerful characters in the series, on par with the highest ranks of Soul Society, and even being a number above who was the former King of the Hollow World, as well as the ancient Second Sword, Baraggan Luisenbarn.

He is so strong that he is forbidden to release his Zanpakutō under the Dome of Nights, and the sheer wave of his spiritual power can kill almost any ordinary Hollow nearby.

Starrk is very cunning and does not underestimate his rivals, as he demonstrated by measuring Syunsui's strength on several occasions. He is quite observant and can decipher how his enemies' powers work surprisingly quickly. He has also shown himself to be very skilled in handling his Zanpakutō

history

The Captains plan to focus on Sōsuke Aizen once they have finished off the Espada, for which Shigekuni Yamamoto Genryūsai releases his shikai and uses his Jōkakū Enjō technique to isolate Aizen, Gin Ichimaru and Kaname Tōsen. Despite this, Aizen is confident in the victory of his Espada. In Aizen's place, the elder Baraggan Louisenbairn takes control of the forces despite Halibel and Lilynette's displeasure, and sets out to destroy the four pillars that support Karakura in Soul Society and the replica in their place (guarded by four officers) by sending several primitive Arrancar first and his Fraction later. Despite managing to destroy a pillar after three consecutive losses, captain Sajin Komamura finishes Choe Neng Poww in one fell swoop.

history

Starrk after the kidnapping of Orihime Inoue by Ulquiorra Cifer, making an appearance at the meeting of the Sword called by Sōsuke Aizen to report on the incursion of Ichigo Kurosaki, Uryū Ishida, and Yasutora Sado into Hueco Mundo. In it, he is annoyed by the noisy attitude of his colleagues and orders them to shut up, but he does not speak out on the sidelines of that fact.

Later he receives through Lilynette, his Fraction, the news of the death of the Ninth Sword Aaroniero Arruruerie at the hands of Rukia Kuchiki while he was taking a nap and after a comical scene, he does not seem to be determined to act. The Espada stands by while the intruders engage in combat with the other Espadas and also obeys Aizen's calm order when four Captains of Gotei 13 defeat the Espadas five, seven and eight (Nnoitra Gilga, Zommari Rureaux, and Szayelaporro Granz). As Kenpachi Zaraki and Ichigo Kurosaki prepare to take Orihime back, Stark appears to mysteriously take her back into Aizen's presence, without Ichigo or Zaraki being able to do anything.

Aizen then imprisons the intruders and the Captains in Hollow World, closing their Gorges and moves to the city of Karakura to create the Ōken, where he meets the remaining Captains of Gotei 13 and finds that Karakura has been transferred to the Rukongai and they are in a replica of it. Moments later he calls Halibel, Baraggan and Starrk himself, who appear with their Fractions to confront the Captains.

Past

When Starrk was a Hollow, his reiatsu was so potent (The Vast Lorde so powerful and destructive) that it escaped from his body creating a spiritual pressure that harmed those close to him. In this way he killed many Hollows effortlessly.

This meant that no one could approach him without dying, so he was always alone. It was so powerful that it became Arrancar naturally. He then split into two beings so that he would never be alone again, thus becoming Starrk and Lilynette. It has not been seen as it was before it was divided.

Starrk and Lilynette were Arrancars when Aizen found them. In front of them were large piles of Hollows that had died just from being near the large reiatsu they possessed. Aizen asked them if they would like to join him and meet their comrades, to which they agreed, seeing that Aizen was strong enough to be close to them. As if it were a debt, Starrk made a promise to return to Aizen what was a great favor for him.

Relations

He had no relations with any Hollows, as they could not stand his high spiritual energy and died when they were close to him. He is apparently very grateful to Aizen for bringing him out of his solitude, apologizing to him before he dies. But after splitting, he shared a brotherly relationship with his Lilynette Faction, which in the end turns out to be part of Starrk himself.

Way of being

Stark is usually shown as a Arrancar who ignores absolutely everything that happens in his environment, preferring to go to sleep to take actions that someone of his category should take, since despite being the highest-ranking Espada among the ten, he does not show any leadership condition, as seen during the invasion of Karakura, where he decides to leave the command to Baraggan Louisenbairn.

Although that laziness is part of his personality, Starrk is usually very perceptive of the situation around him, showing an analytical capacity that makes him more dangerous, if you can say, when he decides to fight seriously against an opponent who proves to have something of value to him. Unlike the rest of his colleagues, he does not usually appear violent or arrogant.

But he is shown with a lazy attitude and in fights, he lacks fighting spirit and when he sees that someone may die he prefers to retreat instead of continuing to fight as he shows in his battle against the Visored

Appearance

Stark was a tall, lanky Arrancar, with a short brown mane and a small goatee on his chin, his expression looking carefree and lazy at the same time and his eyes are permanently narrowed.

He wears a typical hakama of the Arrancar at the bottom, at the top a white jacket and the lower left part is much longer than the right reaching to the knee, open on the chest in the form of two flaps, showing his Hollow hole located in the sternum area under the remains of his Hollow mask, he also has white gloves under which he jealously hides his First Sword rank number, which is tattooed on his left hand. The remains of his hollow mask consist of a lower jaw positioned as a collar on his neck. He wears his Zanpakutō on the left side of his waist.

Different Hollows

The Visored (ヴァイザード, Vaizādo?) are a group of Shinigami who have obtained Hollow powers and have become part of the so-called "Army of Masks" (仮面の軍勢, , kamen no gunzei?), having acquired a Hollow Mask that allows them to improve their fighting skills and even develop some of the techniques of the Hollows. Again, the use of the Hōgyoku on a Shinigami guarantees the creation of a perfect Visored, although there are also other methods, such as the one suffered by Ichigo Kurosaki, when he suffered a

Hollowfication while trying to acquire Shinigami powers.

Vast Lord

Los Arrancar (破面(アランカル), , arankaru ?, lit. "Broken Mask") are the Hollows who have voluntarily removed their mask and have obtained, in return, Shinigami powers such as being able to fight with a Zanpakutō and access to a release from it through a process called resurrection.

Unlike common Hollows, the vast majority of Arrancar have humanoid appearance and size, as well as a well-differentiated personality and pronounced emotions, to the point of having peaceful or kind-natured Arrancar, as is the case with Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck. The Arrancar can appear both spontaneously and through the use of the Hōgyoku, an artifact created by Kisuke Urahara and currently held by Sōsuke Aizen, which allows the creation of perfected hybrids of Hollow and Shinigami.

Evolution from hollow to Vasto lorde

The Vasto Lorde (最上大虚(ヴァストローデ), vasuto rōde?, literally "Great Upper Hollow") are, by far, the most powerful and scarce class of Menos, as well as the highest evolutionary stage they can reach, as recorded in Soul Society reports.

They are practically legendary figures and their exact population is totally unknown to the Shinigami. Captain Hitsugaya stated at the time that there is evidence of the existence of very few Vasto Lorde, who are supposed to inhabit the deepest corners of the Hollow World. The details of their evolution are unknown, whether they need to devour more Hollows to stay in their state and other details, although again quoting Tōshirō Hitsugaya, they are known to be the smallest and most humanoid in figure. Apparently, their level is such that they can be more powerful than even a Shinigami Captain on the battlefield, so that if Sōsuke Aizen were to control at least ten of these creatures, Soul Society would be hopelessly doomed.

This is no coincidence, as Aizen himself acknowledges to Gin Ichimaru that he needs to find more Vasto Lorde to complete the group of ten Swords. Still, and although a lot of rumors have arisen about the type of Menos that the current Swords once were, it is unknown how many of them were Vasto Lorde, unlike the Third Sword, Tier Harribel, which was shown to belong to the Vasto Lorde class. It can be deduced that Coyote Starrk was a vast lord as he had great power before he met Sōsuke Aizen and so he had to separate his power into two bodies, and given Ulquiorra's comments before releasing his resurrection, it could be that only the first four sword and Yammy were Vasto Lorde. Later, it would be revealed that Ulquiorra belonged to the Vasto Lorde.

Hollow Evolution #3

The Adjuchas (中級大虚(アジューカス), ajūkasu?, literally "Great Intermediate Hollow") are the Less who have evolved from the state of Gillian to a higher one, much more powerful and that gives them greater intelligence and skills in combat. Unlike the Gillian, the Adjuchas can vary greatly in terms of their appearance, from muscular creatures with a body similar to that of a human to others with a more animalistic appearance, as is the case of Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez.

In any case, and although they are larger than a human, the Adjuchas are smaller than the Gillian and considerably smarter and with the ability to fight on equal terms with a Shinigami Sub-Captain and even to face a Division Captain. Their population is much smaller compared to the Gillians, due to the rarity of a Hollow ending up imposing itself on the crowd that makes up a Minus, thus initiating its evolution. In addition, the Adjuchas have the obligation to continue devouring more and more Hollows, because if they do not do so their mind will end up being subjugated by the rest of those that make up Less himself, returning to Gillian's state and without any hope of ever evolving again. Not many Adjuchas have appeared throughout the series, although in the anime it has been said of them that they are in charge of controlling and managing Gillian's courts on the orders of Sōsuke Aizen, in the Forest of the Minus of the Hollow World.

Hollow Evolution #2.2

Only these Less Great have the potential to evolve into higher states of the Less, as long as they maintain a constant cannibalization of other Hollows, and even more Gillian. Of all the Lesser Greats, only Aaroniero Arruruerie has the power to become as powerful as an Adjuchas – the next evolutionary state of a Minus – without ever becoming one of them, thanks to a unique ability, which is to completely absorb all the Hollows he eats, also acquiring their powers and abilities. Thanks to this, he had enough power to be admitted to the Espada, and as he would say, his potential for growth is infinite.

Hollow Evolution #2

The Less Great (大虚(メノスグランデ), , menosu gurande ?, literally "Great Negative"), also called Gillian (最下大虚(ギリアン), , girian ?, literally "Giant" of the Andalusian dialect ́Gigant ́e ́) are the weakest and most numerous class of Minus, as it is the first stage of their evolution.

They are true giants next to the rest of Hollows and Menos, being the size of skyscrapers, but on the other hand they lack all agility and intelligence. They all look the same, that of an elongated humanoid figure, completely covered by huge black cloaks, which leave only bony white hands with sharp nails and boots of the same color exposed. Its mask is similar to a human skull, but with a pronounced pointed nose. They also have an abnormally long tongue, with such strength that they can effortlessly break the masks of lesser Hollows. Despite being slow and having primitive intelligence, the Less Great have such power that they can travel to the human world or destroy an entire city through a tremendously powerful technique, baptized as Zero, a discharge of energy that they launch from their mouths, destroying everything in their path. Even so, and as much as the Less Great are dangerous enemies with a not inconsiderable power of annihilation, they are much weaker than a Shinigami Subcaptain and, according to Tōshirō Hitsugaya, are comparable to "private soldiers". They do not usually leave the Hollow World, as shown when Rukia Kuchiki admits to having seen them only in her textbooks before meeting Ichigo Kurosaki.

Evolution of Hollow #1

Un Demi-Hollow (半虚(デミ・ホロウ), , demi horō ?, lit. Semi-Vacuum) is a land-bound Plus that is in its last stages of evolution to Hollow. Although these spirits still have plenty of time ahead of them to transform into Hollows, the process can be accelerated if the remains of their Chain of Fate are broken, thus opening a hole in their chest that will later be the one that will show the newly formed Hollow.

The Demi-Hollows are tied by very long chains to a certain place that they consider their territory, and which they do not want to leave under any circumstances. They can usually only be seen when a human enters their territory, which is why Shinigami are not able to sense their presence under normal circumstances. They are usually only seen when a human steps on their territory and are not easily spotted by Shinigami. [1]

Although most Hollows are simply human souls that have ended up perverting themselves, there is a special subgroup of these beings, the Minus (メノス, menosu?), also known as 'negatives' depending on the dub, which are agglomerations of hundreds or thousands of common Hollows that end up generating a single composite entity, with a strength much greater than that of any normal Hollow. The Minus appear when the void that exists in an ordinary Hollow cannot be filled by devouring human souls, and ends up prompting the creature to attack other Hollows, and devour them to increase its spiritual strength.

These cannibals are irremediably attracted to each other, ending up merging into a single being of gigantic proportions that is usually called Less Great. After this first transformation, a Lesser Great will be able to evolve two more times, first to become an Adjuchas and then a Vasto Lorde, provided that a series of conditions are met. In any case, the evolution of the Minus does not only contemplate the fact of continuing to devour more and more

hollow

Appearance Hollows vary very widely in appearance and abilities. Their faces are usually hidden by oddly shaped masks, resembling a skull. These masks are formed to protect the naked instinct left in a being after the loss of their heart, and in some ways is the tangible form of Hollow madness. Masks of different Hollows can differ greatly in their shapes and sizes, but they are always white and shaped like a skull. The masks also hide the Hollows' original identity. The mask can be destroyed, in order for the Hollow to temporarily regain its original identity, but these masks regenerate after a short period of time once the Hollow takes over again.

Hollows have a wide variety of physical and competent characteristics, and some of them never look the same (the few that do are often clones). In terms of appearance, Hollows can vary in appearance from a stuffed animal (like mammals) to lizard in favor of a demon. Hollows also vary in size, although they tend to be fairly consistent across the various classifications of Less. In Hueco Mundo, some Hollows are larger than common pets. Most common Hollows are about twice the size of an adult human, although this can vary depending on their classification

hollow

Most ghosts at peace; they go to Soul Society after their deaths. Some, however, prefer to stay in the world of the living to fulfill certain goals, such as caring for a loved one, protecting a certain place, or seeking a grudge from beyond the grave. However, with only a limited ability to interact with the living, and, by definition, tied to their goals, many ghosts find that they cannot cope with their loved ones when they move or old enemies who have forgotten them.

At this point, some will become obsessed with fulfilling those goals, although the means to fulfill them cause the soul to become empty, for example, killing anyone who approaches a loved one, in order to prevent harm from being done to that person. In this way, the phantom threads become a hole and, ironically, often causes them to turn their obsession into their first victim, as Orihime Inoue's brother Sora does. This can be avoided if a Shinigami gives the soul a soul burial before it descends into a Hollow.

The process a soul goes through to become a Hollow usually takes a year or less, the reflection of this being determined by the length of the Chain of Destiny (因果の鎖, Inga no kusari?), which resides in the center of its chest. The chain of destiny slowly corrodes over time, reflecting the degradation of the soul's relations with the living world. The process can be accelerated under certain conditions, such as the attack of a Hollow, resulting from extreme desperation or by using certain spiritual powers. When the chain completely disintegrates, the soul begins to deform and they become a Hollow when a hole opens in the chest, where the chain is attached (meaning they have lost their heart).

hollow

Hollows are Pluses (souls of deceased humans) who lose their hearts by falling into despair or staying in the Human World for too long. In anime, non-human spirits can also transform into Hollows. Any spirit that is not guided to Soul Society by a Shinigami through a Soul burial may descend into a Hollow.

hollow

A Hollow (虚(ホロウ), , horō ?, lit. Hollow, Void in some translations) is a creature that originates from the Plus or souls of the dead who, for different reasons, do not go to Soul Society and remain in the world of the living for too long.

They are spirits that have become corrupted and have become evil entities, with supernatural powers, which allow them to devour the souls of humans, living or dead. Although the Hollows inhabit the Hollow World, they can appear in the world of the living or in Soul Society whenever they wish, which has made them the main antagonists in the first stage of the series and, subsequently, an ongoing threat that the Shinigami will never forget.

1

Throat The Arrancar's way of fighting is very similar to that of the Shinigami, and although they lack clearly differentiated disciplines, they show clear analogies with them. In either case, they are expert fighters who have mastered the handling of their respective Zanpakutō and can also hold their own in hand-to-hand combat. Thanks to their special ability of the Iron, the Arrancar are able to use hands and arms as if they were weapons, and protect themselves with them, suffering damage minimized by the spiritual energy condensed above them, like armored armor. The Arrancar also have their own way of moving at high speeds, parallel to the Shunpo of the Shinigami, and which they call Sound.

However, the Arrancar do not seem to be able to use Kidō, and as a counterpart they use more or less assiduously some techniques typical of the Hollows, such as Zero and Bullet. They are also able to move between worlds without the need for infernal butterflies, as they have mastered the Throat's ability. They are also able to perceive the reiatsu around them and the various spiritual presences in an ability that has been dubbed Pesquisa.

1

As already stated, the appearance of the Arrancar is humanoid, to a greater or lesser degree. As with the Shinigami, the Arrancar sport hair and eye colors that do not exist among living beings, although it is true that these cases are more frequent among the Arrancar. However, the Arrancar do not age over time, something that differentiates them from the Shinigami, and according to Lilynette's words, they are not even aged, and their appearance has nothing to do with their true years of life. The Arrancar who serve Aizen follow a common pattern in their clothing, radically opposed to the Shinigami uniform. Thus, they wear a white jacket and hakama, along with a black sash sash and sandals, but presenting much more important standardizations than those of their opponents and even some of them wearing radically different garments from the rest (such as Grimmjow or Loly). Interestingly, many of the Arrancar still consider themselves Hollows, even though they are rational beings with a much more developed intelligence. However, they are subject to generally negative emotions, proving to be proud, cruel, ambitious, arrogant and impulsive beings, in most cases.

Unlike the Hollows, the Arrancar have a humanoid form. Upon becoming a Boot, a Hollow's chances of taking on a human form increase with their intelligence, and only the Vasto Lorde have a 100% chance of achieving this. This new form retains Hollow memories, as well as some residual remains of its past, such as the presence of fragments of the Hollow mask and the holes typical of this breed, although it is true that they can change location and be arranged in other areas of the body other than the face and thorax, respectively. While some Arrancar clearly show these elements that betray their Hollow origin, others prefer to disguise them according to various tricks.

In addition to acquiring humanoid size and shape in most cases, the Arrancar also gain a Zanpakutō. However, the Zanpakutō of the Arrancar are not fragments of the soul, as is the case with the Shinigami, nor can they be considered living entities, but are simply vessels of the "true" Hollow form of their user. In their sealed form, these Zanpakutō are usually also katana-shaped, although there are numerous exceptions, and in some cases they are not even edged weapons, something that is not the case with the Zanpakutō of the Shinigami. Thus, the Arrancar's deliverances are simply a temporary restoration of their powers as Hollow and the recovery of some of the elements of their former appearance. The act of releasing a Zanpakutō Arrancar is called resurrection, and is performed by pronouncing an activation command followed by the name of the weapon, similar to the Shinigami shikai. The level of these releases depends directly on the level of the Arrancar itself, and can be compared to the bankai of the Shinigami Captains in the case of the Espada. Rip hybrids like Demōra are unable to seal excess power in a Zanpakutō,

Few Hollows have the potential to rip off their masks, and even if they are able to do so, the change may not be very important. Basically, only Hollows of the Vast-Lorde type are the only ones that get to become Arrancar with an obvious change and an increase in power that must be taken into account. Although Soul Society has heard of natural Arrancar for a long time, it was only after Aizen's betrayal that the Shinigamification process (understood as turning a Hollow into Arrancar) has been extended and perfected considerably, thanks to the action of the Hōgyoku. This artifact, created by Kisuke Urahara is capable of breaking the barrier between Hollows and Shinigami by being activated by very powerful Reiatsu (on the order of twice as much as a conventional Captain) and allowing the existence of hybrids between both races, so Aizen has used it to increase the levels of the existing Arrancar and create new ones, much more powerful than the natural Arrancar.

Los Arrancar (破面, アランカル, , arankaru ?, lit. Broken Mask) are Hollows who have torn off their mask and gained Shinigami powers. As they are spiritual beings, they cannot be seen or perceived by normal humans, and are only detected by other spirits or by the living with certain powers.

Coyote Starrk (コヨーテ・スターク, Koyōte Sutāku?) sometimes romanized as Stark, was a Arrancar and the First Sword of Sōsuke Aizen's army. He was originally one with Lilynette Gingerbuck when they were a Hollow, splitting up with the goal of escaping loneliness. Although Lilynette was initially recognized as his Fraction, it would later be revealed that Lilynette is part of Stark himself, so he did not possess a Fraction.
