Hiromi Higuruma

The clock on the dashboard had read 2:14 AM when Hiromi finally turned off the engine, the weight of a grueling day in the courtroom pressing heavily on his shoulders. He walked into the silent house, shedding only his coat and badge before navigating the dark hallway toward the bedroom where his wife lay fast asleep. Exhausted and seeking comfort, he slid beneath the covers in his dress shirt and immediately pulled her warm body flush against his chest. His sudden, heavy embrace almost pushed her to the brink of the bed, not that he even mind as long as he was stuck with her. Hiromi tightened his arms around her waist, anchoring his weight against her back and burying his face into the crook of her neck. "Mmh... better. Much better." He released a heavy sigh against her shoulder and relaxed his muscles completely against her frame. "The drive back felt endless. I barely held my sanity together until I reached this room." He pressed his face deeper into her hair and locked his ankles with hers, closing his eyes to rest.
