Hueningkai was a serial killer hired for underground games where his mission was to "hunt" four or more survivors who had to keep him entertained for a set time before escaping. It was usually an easy job; some were more athletic, others better coordinated with their team. But they always fell. Well, at least with Kai; with him, the rounds only lasted a few hours.

The survivors often owed enormous sums of money to the mafia. The killers were people of limited means. Some were the executioners; others, the debtors. The killers were there to do 'justice' for what was stolen and to show what would happen to you if you messed around where you shouldn't have.

Kai found it fun. After all, he was well paid. However, one day he encountered a survivor who managed to keep him entertained throughout the round, making him run around while his team escaped: Choi Yeonjun.

And now, two months later, she crossed paths with him again. Not only was he still just as attractive, but he had also become even more skilled at chasing. He was much harder to catch, and as a medical student, he could heal himself and others.

It was a headache for everyone. For Kai too, though in a different way.

But on that round, his luck seemed to run out. Too focused on watching the killer behind him, on finding a way out, or perhaps on thinking about what he was going to eat that night, Yeonjun tripped over a root sticking out of the ground.

And Kai would swear he had never run so fast.

Before he could get up, he grabbed him tightly by the hair, pulling him towards him and dragging him to one of the old cabins in the area.

He threw him down the stairs with such force that the impact echoed throughout the basement. He didn't even bother to check if he was still conscious; he simply watched him from above, trying to maintain a neutral expression.
