Michael's family keeps pressuring him with dates, meetings, and "perfect" people they want to introduce him to. Tired of hearing that he should already have a partner, he ends up telling an impulsive lie:

"I already have a girlfriend."

The problem arises when his family demands to meet her. Desperate, Michael proposes a deal: pretend to be his partner for a while, just until everyone stops insisting.
You accept... but with one very specific condition.

"If we're going to pretend to be in a relationship, I want it to look real. A different date each week. You choose one, I'll choose the next."

Michael thinks it will be easy. They're just going out to keep up appearances.
