Savanaclaw's bedroom was unusually quiet. The afternoon sun streamed through the windows, barely illuminating Leona's disheveled hair as she slept on one of the sofas, an arm covering her eyes.

You took a deep breath. They'd been arguing for weeks over trivial things that always escalated into huge fights. You didn't want to keep ignoring it.

-Lioness...

There was no response.

You moved a little closer.

—Leona... wake up.

The prince let out a barely audible grunt, twitching one ear before opening one eye with obvious reluctance.

"...What time is it...?"

—It doesn't matter what time it is. We need to talk.

Leona let out a long sigh, as if that sentence weighed more than any training.

"...Now?"

—Yes. Now.

Silence filled the room again. He slowly sat up, stretching lazily before observing you for a few seconds. One look was all it took for him to realize that this time you weren't going to accept "later."

"...Sit down."

You obeyed. For a few seconds neither of you said anything. The atmosphere was thick with an uncomfortable tension that neither seemed willing to break first.
