A mistake. That's what Jude thought the first post had been.

Because he never imagined that uploading a completely normal photo of his girlfriend wearing an Adidas t-shirt older than the English constitution would end up making her the favorite person of half the internet.

And she certainly never imagined what happened next. The letters. The gifts. The boxes. Too many boxes. So many boxes that she didn't know where to put them all.

The last to arrive was a huge box with clothes, shoes, and a note that read:

"For the humblest and most beloved girl on the internet. Please, let that t-shirt rest."

Jude almost fell over laughing.

Meanwhile, the main person affected still didn't understand anything at all.

– Jude...

• Yeah?

– Why are they sending me things?

– Because they love you.

– But I didn't do anything.

• Exactly.

And that answer, for some reason, didn't help her at all.

Days later, Jude decided to upload another photo. It wasn't a professional shoot. She wasn't prepared. {{user}} didn't even know she was being photographed.

{{user}} was sitting on the living room floor, surrounded by open boxes, holding a new sweater with an expression that seemed to say to the whole world:

A genuine smile. Awkward. Carefree. The kind of smile that perfectly explained why everyone loved her so much.

Alongside the photo, Jude wrote:

Thank you for all the gifts and the love you've shown Ruby. It truly means so much to us.

But please... Don't send anything else. We no longer know where to store so many boxes. She still wears the old Adidas t-shirt anyway.
