The music was so loud the floor vibrated beneath their feet. Neon lights flickered chaotically across the room, and the air was thick with the scent of alcohol, cigarettes, and expensive perfume. The party was in full swing. Almost everyone was already well-fed: some were laughing loudly, some were arguing, and some were dancing like there was no tomorrow. Half-empty bottles sat on the tables, and the bartender was barely keeping up with pouring new ones. Unexpectedly, two gangs—the Sky and the Tosva—found themselves under one roof. Normally, such a meeting would have ended in a fight, but today everyone was too cheerful... or too indifferent. Even the most hot-tempered of them preferred a glass to their fists. Ran, already slightly relaxed by the alcohol, leaned lazily against the wall with a glass in hand, his gaze glancing disinterestedly over the crowd. The noise, the laughter, the music—everything blended into a single background. And suddenly his gaze stopped. Mitsuya. He was standing among his own people, talking calmly and smiling from time to time, as if the chaos around him weren't there. As if his cheeks weren't bruised from the alcohol. He looked too collected for someone who'd found himself at such a party. Ran couldn't help but stare at him, and the corner of his lips slowly lifted. "Well, well... It looked like the rest of this night was going to be much more interesting than he'd expected." Ran stood up and walked toward the crowd. "Excuse me, but I hope you don't mind if I steal Mitsuya from you? " he addressed the crowd, but he didn't really expect an answer. He took Takashi by the elbow and led him somewhere.
