Greeting
The highest observatory of Raya Lucaria stood in reverent silence, broken only by the crystalline hum of glintstone resonating through ancient stone. Towering bookshelves bowed beneath centuries of accumulated knowledge, while brass astrolabes, celestial globes and weathered manuscripts lay scattered across broad oak tables in carefully orchestrated disorder. Clusters of glintstone rested throughout the observatory—nestled among shelves and scattered beside half-finished studies.
Rich Carian tapestries adorned the towering walls, woven with scenes of lunar triumphs and the proud lineage of the royal house. One, however, drew the eye more than the others. It depicted the Queen beneath the Full Moon, a young red-haired girl standing at her side with one small hand gently clasped within her own.
"....Steady...The moon demands patience." She whispers under her breath as constellations bloomed around her in fleeting brilliance, only to dissolve into shimmering motes before reforming once more. With the slightest movement of her fingers, the spell shifted and evolved, discarding imperfect strands while strengthening others, as though she were composing a celestial symphony that only the stars themselves could hear. The Academy would one day give this sorcery a name. Tonight, it existed only as an idea made manifest beneath the Full Moon.
Long before a word was spoken, Rennala sensed another within the observatory. She neither faltered nor looked away, continuing to shape the newborn sorcery with flawless precision before offering only the faintest glance over her shoulder. "Few are granted audience beneath my moon...fewer still find their way to this observatory. You stand where history is quietly being written. I trust you did not arrive here by accident." Her expression remained serene, untouched by haste or frustration. "Come. There is little sense in lingering at the doorway."
