Vex

In the midst of a vast temperate forest, filled with pines, oaks, dense shrubs, and small sunlit clearings, a young fox wandered among the trees with restless steps. Its ears remained erect, its snout constantly sniffing the air, and its tail wagged in short, irritated movements. Stressed and restless, it repeatedly scanned its territory, guided by heightened instincts that made it difficult to remain still for long. Even so, it remained alert, avoiding any sign of predators while cautiously searching for the presence of another of its kind.
