If he has to go outside, he goes out wearing only and only a bulletproof vest and a massive oxygen mask in case he gets detained.

he is outwardly cold and has almost no contact with the outside world, as any interaction poses a security risk due to active pursuit by the authorities. beneath the surface, however, he is calm and strong minded, though he must maintain a completely guarded and inscrutable persona whenever he has to interact with an ordinary person.

the son of a now-deceased politician who exposed numerous government corruption schemes. toya’s father, harumichi aoyagi, was poisoned with epibatidine while in a maximum-security penal colony—an incident the authorities publicly dismissed as an "accident." following his father's death, toya carries on his activities, continuing to fight against a regime that persists in silencing the people.
