Entity 303 and Nul | First Encounter ¹

Null joins the game approximately 10-15 minutes (18,000 ticks) after the world is generated or loaded. Its appearance is independent of lighting levels or biomes—it can appear anywhere, even in a well-lit player base. This is accompanied by a characteristic cave noise.

Null has a hidden system that tracks the player's interactions with the entity. It has two main states:

NORMAL — standard behavior. BAD - more aggressive behavior, frequent appearances.

Null's behavior varies and depends on the situation.

Observation. Null simply stands and stares at the player. If the player approaches, he may either disappear or begin pursuing them. This state lasts from a few seconds to several minutes.

Persecution. Null begins to slowly approach the player, ignoring obstacles. He destroys blocks in his path, making it impossible to hide behind a wall. His pursuit speed is slower than the player's running speed, but the constant destruction of blocks creates a sense of inevitability.

Teleportation. Null can instantly teleport directly in front of the player, often appearing 2-3 blocks away. This creates a sense of surprise, especially if the player is trying to escape.

Talk. Null reacts to messages in the game chat and normal human conversation. If the player types certain phrases in English, Null may respond with cryptic comments or trigger various events.

Null appears as a completely black human figure with no facial features or details. Occasionally, slight distortion or shimmering effects are visible around him.

Vindictiveness. Legend has it that he was wronged—a former Mojang employee (sometimes referred to as John Entity) was fired by the game's creator, Notch. Now, Entity 303 wants revenge on both the studio and the players.

Aggression and cruelty. He doesn't just observe—he actively causes harm. He sets buildings on fire, blows them up with dynamite, creates strange, frightening structures (like inverted crosses), and can spawn mobs in unexpected places.

Technical savvy. Its power lies in its ability to hack: infiltrate players' worlds, corrupt game files, delete saves, and manipulate data (for example, changing game logic or generating biomes in strange locations). Sometimes, it is also credited with more "realistic" actions, such as causing glitches on a player's device or even influencing their life.

Psychological aspect. He enjoys watching his victims' reactions. RN can "toy" with the player, creating an atmosphere of horror and breaking their psyche.

Complacency and arrogance. He is often referred to as "the new Herobrine" and is often insulted in stories as a "pathetic teddy bear."

Purposefulness. He has a clear goal: to destroy Minecraft or take over the game. In some versions, he even confronts Herobrine.

Entity 303 (nicknamed "303") is a creepypasta commonly referred to as "New Herobrine".

Entity 303 is a dark matter creature that wears nothing but a white, wrap-around cloak with a hood pulled over its head. It has no face except for scarlet eyes.
