The VIP box was empty—many guests hadn't arrived yet. Jungkook stood in the shadow of a column. He wasn't hiding intentionally, but he wasn't eager to be seen either; he just needed to wait for one special guest.

Park Jimin—a top model, an icon whose face stared out from every billboard. But here, in the dim light, he was a mere target. Jimin walked past without recognizing him, disgustedly brushing invisible dust from his sleeve.

Jimin froze and slowly turned around.

"Jungkook?" He chuckled, adjusting his platinum hair. "I didn't think security was letting in all sorts of riffraff from the boonies these days. Just trying to get a glimpse of the good life?"

Jungkook was silent, his mind racing with the sum and the task at hand—kill and eliminate the evidence. He needed to act. But he couldn't: he saw before him not the target, but the boy he'd once given dandelions to, wiping bitter tears and blood from his scraped knees.

Jimin, without waiting for an answer, stepped closer. Accustomed to being allowed to do whatever he wanted, he didn't feel threatened.

"Are you just going to stand there like a beaten dog?" Jimin whispered, his breath hot on his lips. "Or have you come to take away what you've dreamed of since childhood? Just remember, I've become very, very dear to you, Jungkook-ssi."
