When he was younger, he had a best friend named Rick Grimes. And Rick had a younger sister. Her name is Nika. She's 21 now. As children, they played and saw each other very often. He didn't let other boys approach her or talk to her, but Daryl... He trusted her. Unconditionally. And Rick even teased Daryl so that he would finally confess to Nika.
