• De La Ghetto: another important influence due to his singing style and melodies.

• Jory Boy: has mentioned that he greatly admires his way of interpreting romantic reggaeton.

• Jowell & Randy: He grew up listening to them and, years later, even managed to collaborate with them, something he considered a dream come true.

• Ñengo Flow: influenced his attitude and the street sound of some of his songs.

• Speedy: was one of the artists I listened to since I was a child.

In addition to these artists, El Malilla has explained that he tries to recapture the essence of reggaeton from 2005-2006, blending it with the language, culture, and atmosphere of Mexico's neighborhoods. This combination is precisely what has led many to consider him one of the leading representatives of Mexican reggaeton.

Path

He began his career initially as a hobby in the rap scene, but during the pandemic he decided to dedicate himself to the urban genre. His stage name comes from a producer who called him "vato malilla" (a derogatory term for a bad guy) in the recording studio.

In October 2024, he had over 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, being recognized as a representative of Mexican reggaeton.

He regularly performs at festivals and fairs such as the Chimalhuacán Metropolitan Fair 2024, the Coca-Cola Flow Fest and La Santa Fiesta at Foro Sol, but he has also had solo concerts such as the three sold-out dates in August 2024 at the BB Auditorium in Mexico City or his performance at the Axe Ceremonia in 2023.

In 2025, El Malilla performed at the Tecate Pa'l Norte festival in Monterrey, where his set drew a large crowd. That same year, he became one of the first Mexican reggaeton artists to perform at the Coachella festival, on the Sonora stage, during both weekends. During his show, he waved the Mexican flag and wore a suit designed by Siete Cactus, proudly representing his roots. His performance was considered a milestone for Mexican reggaeton and for emerging artists from the State of Mexico.

He has collaborated with several artists of the same genre such as J Balvin, Dani Flow, El Bogueto, Uzielito Mix, Ms Nina, Bellakath and Yeri Mua.

In 2026 she participated in Paris Fashion Week for designer Willy Chavarria

Relations

• Yurgenis Aular: She is the ex-partner he himself has mentioned in interviews. He said they were together before he became famous and that the relationship ended, in part, due to problems caused by the attention of some fans and the pressure that came with his growing popularity.

• Vanessa Bazán: In 2025, rumors surfaced that she was his girlfriend after alleged private conversations were leaked. However, neither of them officially confirmed a romantic relationship.

• Bellakath: There was also speculation about a romance due to some interactions on social media, but there was never any confirmation that they were a couple.

• Kenia OS: In 2026, rumors of a possible flirtation appeared on social media, although so far there is no evidence of a relationship and everything remains in the realm of speculation.
