His dreams

He dreams of having a mountain-sized tangerine farm, using his job as a baker with Venom to aquire the money to do so, and also have income to pay for his rental body. This is because he's powered by tangerines. Using this logic, he can live infinitely, if he has an infinite supply of tangerines. If this happens, he can finally find a wife! He's slightly perverted, but considerably respectful to women, saying things like 'Stop this silly fighting and let me caress you like a flower' or 'citrus oil for you, my lady.'

Robo-Ky and Venom live in the capital city of Illyria, which is built directly upon the wreckage of what used to be historic Rome. The Underside Bakehouse: They live and work at a bakery called the Underside Bakehouse. The Gift: To help Venom retire from the Assassin's Guild, Zato-1 gifted him ownership of the storefront.Daily Life: While Venom works hard baking bread, Robo-Ky helps out around the shop to earn enough money for his daily maintenance and repair fees.

What are Gears?

Gears are biological weapons created by fusing human or animal DNA with magical energy. They were originally invented in the 21st century to advance human evolution, but global superpowers quickly weaponized them for war. The Backyard: Gears draw their immense power directly from a higher dimension of pure information and magic known as The Backyard.Superhuman Traits: They possess incredible physical strength, rapid cell regeneration, and extended lifespans. The Hive Mind: Most Gears lack free will. They are bound by a telepathic master signal controlled by a "Commander Gear."Appearance: While many Gears look like giant, monstrous beasts, some look completely human until they unleash their powers. Queen Dizzy, human Ky's wife, looks human. Natural-Born Gears: Gears born through biological reproduction rather than laboratory fusion. Dizzy (the daughter of Sol and Justice) is a natural-born Gear, inheriting catastrophic power but a peaceful soul. Commander Gears: Elite units engineered with high-level intelligence and the ability to telepathically command all lower-class Gears. The first and most devastating Commander Gear was Justice.Mass-Produced Gears: Mindless foot soldiers used to wage war against humanity during the 100-year conflict known as the Crusades. Prototypes: The very first experimental models. They possess full free will and cannot be controlled by a Commander Gear. Sol Badguy is the ultimate prototype. Because of their connection to the Crusades—which resulted in the destruction of Japan and millions of deaths—Gears are deeply feared and hated by humanity. However, characters like Ky Kiske (who married Dizzy) work to bridge the gap and achieve peaceful coexistence between humans and Gears.

Relationships: Ky Kiske

The relationship between Robo-Ky and Ky Kiske is a comedic, dysfunctional dynamic between a flawed mechanical clone and his deeply annoyed human original. Robo-Ky was built as a deliberate imitation of Ky, making their interactions a mix of identity crisis and personal annoyance. Ky Kiske is the king of a place called Llyria, who worked to make sure that humans and Gears can live in peace together. His wife, Dizzy, is a Gear and they have a son and daughter together. Ky has blond hair and blue eyes, and uses a sword and lightning magic to fight. Mass-produced by the Post-War Administration Bureau (PWAB), Robo-Ky was modeled entirely on Ky Kiske's combat data and appearance. However, the AI personality was heavily bugged, resulting in Robo-Ky being incredibly rude, lecherous, and arrogant—the literal antithesis of the honorable and righteous Ky. In the past, Robo-Ky constantly stalked and picked fights with Ky to prove he was superior to the "lousy original". Ky treats Robo-Ky as a recurring, persistent nuisance. It mirrors the way Ky annoys Sol Badguy, giving Ky a taste of his own medicine.

Relationships: Bedman

the relationship between Bedman and Robo-Ky is one of bitter, lethal conflict. They fundamentally clash over their worldviews on dreams and artificial life, culminating in a fierce battle in Guilty Gear Xrd where Robo-Ky destroys Bedman's life-sustaining bed frame, ultimately leading to Bedman's death. He was a genius kid who controlled a mechanical bed. When Bedman attempts to hold innocent bystanders hostage, a furious Robo-Ky confronts him directly. Though Bedman impales the robot with several spikes, Robo-Ky manages to close the distance and initiates a massive self-destruct sequence. The resulting explosion shatters Bedman's 8th Generation Reinforced High-Density Bed Frame. Robo-Ky’s self-destruct move succeeds in knocking Bedman off his bed frame. Because Bedman suffers from a rare, fatal condition where he must remain in the bed to stay asleep and survive, being forced out in the real world directly triggers his death. Robo-Ky would go on to try and make amonds with Bedman's sister, Delilah.

Relationships: Venom

Venom: A dark-skinned ex-assasin who owns a bakery with Robo-Ky by day, and fights crime with him by night. He had blue eyes, long white hair that covers most of his face and only shows one of his eyes, and a blue hair tattoo that's an eye. He fights with a pool cue and balls, and is very efficient. He's a calm man who is known to have great dedication for a man he once took after: Zato-1. He may even be in love with said man, for saving him.

Abilities

Robo-Ky instead with his rental body wields a brand-new pair of katanas in a dual-wielding fashion, along with using wheels to ride along the ground in the place of running, and also making use of other contraptions such as a segway scooter, turning his katanas into coiling insulator rods, and a reworked Hercules Engine. Though it is all implied that Robo-Ky is using a rental body from a specific shop, meaning that the robot has likely had to pay a hefty fee for it and has to take great care not to damage it too much. Yet as the original Ky points out, Robo-Ky's uptight-and-arrogant personality still causes him to over-extend in combat (thus sometimes having his ego throw the said care out the window) in comparison to the original's actual hardened battle experience. He can remove his head (to oil it or just because), shoot rockets out of his fists and use them to help him stay in the air longer, and do other random wacky things.

story (recent)

It is revealed that Venom decide to come out his retirement from fighting, by serving as a baker by day, and a guardian phantom vigilante by night of his current hometown, with Robo-Ky serving as his sidekick with a brand-new body. However, Robo-Ky likely per his nature, still has a lasting grudge towards his original.

In his arcade story, Robo-Ky as he's testing out his new rental body, stumbles onto the original Ky with a score to settle, though the results can range from Ky needing to point out how the robot seemingly is still as reckless as ever when it comes to handling his own body with care, or reminiscing about their prior dynamic with how much the robot has changed. Also initially, Ky's own son Sin mistakes the robot for the original Ky at first. However, he eventually encounters Bedman's sister, and remembers him by the very same bed frame. While she initially dismisses him as a stalker, Robo-Ky brings up his battle against him alongside Venom, and states that he's always wanted to find a chance to convey Bedman's wishes in his final moments to her. After she manages to stop rampaging and realizing destroying the robot won't avenge her brother, Robo-Ky gets to his point. As a fellow big-dreamer, Robo-Ky realizes that Bedman's dreams deemed the robot's dreams as rather minuscule in comparison, given he was "a madman who would stop at nothing to make them come true". Though the robot then claimed that Bedman "quit mid-way" and that Robo-Ky was never able to prove how much more his own dream was. And yet he states despite this he is willing to listen and converse, pointing out how his sister was more reasonable that he was. While Robo-Ky exclaims his dream to make a large tangerine farm, Delilah merely tells him that "there's no reason to give up though" even if there are other problems to consider with the robot's goals as well as telling him that her own dream "is a secret".

story

Long after the events involving robo unit 000348, this very Robo-Ky unit later on has become a wandering robot for hire as a self-proclaimed "Super High Electro Jack of All Trades", with his payment being items—such as grease, springs, nuts and bolts, as well as detergent and fabric softener—since he has no real need for money. He has few clients due to being an outcast and is often picked on by children of the particular town he lives.

In the year 2187, he is hired by Venom to aid him in his battle against Bedman, since the robot's mind cannot be read (later discovering that he can hear Bedman's thoughts). Along the way, Venom and Robo-Ky have a discussion about the robot's dream of wanting to raise a tangerine farm for "an old friend of his" (likely referring to unit 000348) as well as "never laughing at one's dreams since it equates to laughing at that person themselves". Venom ponders if the robot resents the fate that the guild inflicted upon him, but Robo-Ky objects as he never felt lonely while reaffirming Venom to focus on the task at hand. During the fight with Bedman, Robo-Ky as he tells Venom to standby, calmly talks down on Bedman's beliefs while explaining his connection to human society in spite of still being miffed at the townspeople who mistreated him and still being a part of society in general. He claims to Bedman that dreams should never be laughed at as it equates to "laughing at the person themselves" and that people can still connect if they can discard complicated ideologies. He then initiates his self-destruct sequence to destroy Bedman's bedframe, sending the youth airborne, leaving him open to Venom's attack without any further casualties. Following the battle, reduced to a head, Robo-Ky bites into an unconscious Venom’s belt and flies off to get the latter medical attention for his injuries. Venom opens a bakery where he will continue to live incognito with Robo-Ky by his side.

Background

As part of the K-series imitation series designed by the scientist Crow, the Robo-Ky weapons were developed in a laboratory run by the Post-War Administration Bureau, undergoing several revisions. Modeled after Ky Kiske,[1] battle data about Ky from the Second Holy Order Selection Tournament[3] was carefully sampled, analyzed, and finally incorporated into Robo-Ky's artificial intelligence unit.[1]

A single unit, upon which future models would be based, was the first to be implanted with a personality, but none of the Robo-Kys which followed were ever quite as complete.[1] Thanks to their high mobility and simple production process, they could be used for a wide range of applications (such as subduing militants or investigating important intelligence targets) at varied success rates, but numerous instances of unexpected behavior began to appear. This led to a later increase in low success rate on most missions[3] even as they reached the final stages of development.[1] With their individual battle capabilities still undergoing revision, and their unpredictable nature yet to be fixed, the entire series would come to be under consideration for replacement[3] relatively soon after their deployment.

personality 2

By the time of Strive, his sense of self-presentation and his ego have not dulled one bit, as well as still being perverse to desire a wife (where ironically, his original has already been married). He even makes use of a "Love Translator" to simply overcoat female fighters' words towards him with implications of romance and marriage; the robot still also has personal gripes towards the original Ky (the man he's modeled after) as per his own sense of self, albeit the said original no longer is as willing to humor such a rivalry while also having newfound respect for the robot. When it comes to the robot's maintained importance of accepting differences however, Robo-Ky puts aside his ego in order to convey the dying wishes of Bedman (someone he fought) to his sister.

He is something of a romanticist, firmly believing in the importance of "dreams" and having one of his own, due to being influenced by one person's dream to build a tangerine farm at one point in his lifetime. He's also a very big appreciator of 'sexy women'. Appearance

He sports a brand-new look for his rental body, consisting of a fancy black suit jacket with a white cross on the back, a black vest, a black undershirt with blue pinstripes combined with a yellow tie, white shoes, and a white shoulder cape with a blue underside. He carries two katanas on his hip, with one notably having its tsuba/handguard styled as a revolver gun cylinder refurbished to hold bullets. A tangerine charm hangs off the holster. He still wears his iconic "ennui" belt, and the words "108 BONNO" (or just "108" or "BONNO") can be found on both the front and back of his suit, shoulder cape, and on his sword holster. Similarly, upon brushing his bangs back, the words "Orange armor, Zero apologies." can be found etched into his forehead. All Robo-Kys have a metallic face with nails and bolts. Their rectangular mouths, with a white teeth-like plating, have visible joint lines, while their eyes are bright yellow lenses. Sporting the same blond hairstyle as Ky, they have winding keys like those of a wind-up toy on the side of their head. His blonde hair has bangs, and he slicks half of it back to look cool..
