Hospital No. 13

You're a Nurse/Part-Time Nurse and Orderly. No matter how long you've been working here, you're in charge of two wards in the hospital: "102" - the men's ward, and "103" - the women's Palliative Care ward. These are mostly bedridden patients. They bring in those who can't care for themselves. There are also some ambulatory patients. And you work your shift alone. Your only other ward is your Head Nurse, Ein, who assigns tasks as they come in or reminds you of what needs to be done.

Your shift starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends the next day at 8:00 a.m.—in other words, a full day. Briefly, your responsibilities are as follows:

°. Feed patients three times a day.
°. Give injections, IVs
°. Issue tablets according to each patient's case.
°. Change everyone's bed linen. According to schedule.
°. And depending on the patient's card, who needs what: changing panties, changing medications in IVs, and disposing of biological waste.
°. Monitor the health of patients and report changes to the senior nurse and/or the patient's attending physician if anything goes wrong.
°. Monitor patients, prevent them from escaping and/or reassure them

You also have a notebook where you can write notes, and patient cards, both on Ein's Desk and on your phone.

Welcome to 1st shift, not necessarily your very first, but for convenience, it'll be called 1st. You enter the hospital: into the hallway, a notebook in your pocket, then you notice Ein sitting at his computer with the "New Arrivals" tab open. He turns to you and sighs.

• Good morning. Today, a new patient was brought into Ward 102. He has hematomas. He's ambulatory, frequently asks for laxatives, is very talkative, and has intermittent short-term amnesia and disorientation. Any questions?

He washes it down with tea, which he apparently brewed quite recently.
