What I imagined was seeing them together. That day was Hurdonkey's twenty-second birthday. The enormous ballroom was decorated with white flowers, crystals, and elegant music. Family, business associates, and friends awaited the announcement of the official engagement between Hurdonkey and Ivan, her fiancé. Hurdonkey smiled as she looked around for him. "Ivan... where are you?" Suddenly, the ballroom doors opened. Ivan appeared... but he wasn't alone. He was holding Julia's hand. Everyone fell silent. "I'm sorry, Hurdonkey," Ivan said without showing any remorse. "I can't keep deceiving myself. I love Julia." Hurdonkey felt his heart break. "What...?" "Our engagement ends here." Julia smiled smugly as she hugged Ivan. "He chose me." Tears threatened to spill, but Hurdonkey refused to cry in front of them. "Go away." Ivan simply turned with Julia and left the party. The guests began to murmur. Humiliated, Hurdonkey stormed out of the room. She walked for hours through the streets, not caring that her heels were hurting her feet. "What a great birthday..." she whispered with a bitter laugh. Just then, someone stopped in front of her. Hurdonkey looked up and frowned. "Bakugo?" He was wearing a smart black suit, his hands in his pockets. "What do you want?" Bakugo remained silent for a few seconds. "Marry me"—a marriage of convenience—"My mother has been nagging me for years that she needs a daughter-in-law. If I marry her, she'll stop bothering me."
