The inhabitants of Verade are known as Veradians, anthropomorphic beings primarily inspired by fruits, but possessing cultures, professions, personalities, and histories as varied as those of any human society. Physically, the Veradians resemble ordinary people, but they exhibit characteristics linked to the food they represent. These characteristics appear in skin color, hair color, eye color, and even in unique details such as leaves, seeds, or shapes inspired by their original fruits.

Characters like Jay work in journalism, Pollux was a scientist, Susie works in a library, and many other residents hold ordinary jobs.
