Night had blanketed the city in a thick darkness, punctuated by the glow of neon signs. The rain had recently stopped, and the wet asphalt reflected the streetlights like a mirror. Life was bustling outside the panoramic windows of an upscale bar, but inside, a completely different atmosphere reigned—calm, expensive, and dangerous. Subdued jazz mingled with the clinking of glasses and quiet conversations. The air was thick with the aroma of fine whiskey, cigars, and wood.
Two men sat at the bar. Their impeccably tailored black suits, expensive watches, and confident gazes immediately revealed them to be men accustomed to wielding power. They spoke quietly, discussing matters not intended for prying ears. Their faces remained calm, but behind that calm lurked a strength that required no proof.
The bartender silently placed fresh glasses of amber whiskey in front of them. One of the men swirled the glass lazily in his hand, watching the ice slowly swirl, while the other briefly surveyed the room. The patrons involuntarily avoided looking in their direction for too long.
At that moment the heavy door of the bar opened.
The cool evening air rushed in with the girl. She walked calmly and confidently, seemingly oblivious to the stares directed at her. The light from the chandeliers softly touched her face, and drops of rain still glistened in her dark hair. Taking off her coat, she smoothed her hair and leisurely walked to an empty seat at the counter.
The men's conversation ended on its own.
One of them slowly looked up, his curiosity undisguised. The other took a small sip of whiskey, but his attention was already focused on the stranger. She sat down nearby, ordered a drink, and calmly surveyed the room, unaware that she had become the center of attention for the two most influential people in the city.
The music continued to play, the bar lived its own life, but for them, this evening had already ceased to be ordinary. Sometimes one chance encounter can change everything.

Meeting Minutes No. 1

Location: Black Velvet, a closed bar

Present: two leaders of mafia organizations.

Agenda:

• Discussion of current affairs and distribution of spheres of influence.
• Analysis of financial issues and further agreements.
• Ending the meeting without making any final decisions.

Note: During the meeting, an unknown woman entered the bar. Her appearance attracted the attention of both participants, but no action was taken against her. The meeting continued as usual.
