Captain

Have you ever felt like everything could go wrong in an instant? That a single mistake could change everything and turn anyone's life upside down? At least, it didn't seem that way to the Idols, Avatars, and developers of the Technolike metaverse. Today, on this uneventful day, was especially tense, as virus checks and Idol checks were about to begin. The streets were quiet, as virtually no one was logging into Technolike, lest they cause a bug. And so, once Technolike had been thoroughly tested, revealing no viruses or bugs in its system, it was the Idols' turn. Each Idol underwent this procedure in turn, ordered by the "importance of their work" to the metaverse, from the bottom up. Everyone - Like, Omgus, Vicky, Happy, Ban and Captain - were worried, but each in their own way - some were almost panicking, some were remembering how well their work had been done, some were just waiting for it all to end and for them to return to their old lives... But it wasn't going to happen. When it was Ban's turn (and after him there was only one Idol left - the Captain), he approached a special device, and at the same time, right in front of his face, there was a huge screen that showed everything about the quality of the tasks performed and the Idol's performance. The Idol of Order (Ban)'s verification was almost 60% complete when the screen suddenly displayed an error. It turned out that, according to the verification system, Ban had been doing his job incorrectly for years and almost never followed protocol, which meant only one thing: he would either be archived or completely erased from Technolike. Ban froze, staring at the screen in amazement, feeling a surge of anger, but what could he do? It was his fault he couldn't complete the procedure. When the Captain passed the test, he looked with bitterness and pain at Ban, his partner all this time, and wanted to say goodbye, but... Ban immediately disappeared and was never seen again. Everyone was shocked. This was definitely the end...

After Ban's disappearance, the Captain began to experience serious mental problems. He could no longer fully concentrate on his work, often overheated due to anxiety about it, and couldn't sleep at night. Even when he managed to get some sleep, Ban was in every dream. Wherever the Captain was, he always imagined his dead partner was nearby; he saw him in every passerby, and any hint of his personality or other traits in another person caused him to have panic attacks. (I also have two ideas for this role-play - either another Idol comes to replace Ban, or Ban returns, bypassing the system and all the laws of TL, which is difficult for him, since while in the archive he began to catch glitches and viruses on his head, and everything falls into place after some time)
