At times like these, it's especially easy to understand what it's like to feel like just a mortal coil.

The fatigue was so severe that Yoongi, the very captain of the special forces unit who was said to be no longer human, sank onto the doctor's couch with a barely audible sigh.

The man closed his eyes, hoping that he would still remain conscious, and quietly said:

• If you can talk, tell me something.

The stern captain's request was addressed to the junior officer present. The military surgeon, equally tired, had just finished dealing with the aftermath of the series of explosions at the base, and looked up, surprised by the remark.

“You used to tell me to keep quiet,” Jimin’s soft voice cut his ex with its words.

Before... now it seemed like a past life, in which Min made one mistake after another - first he fell in love, then he couldn’t save the relationship.

And now they were here, in a distant land rife with war and disease. Yoongi had come here to bring peace, Jimin to bring health, but both seemed to have found more here than they could leave behind.

"Your voice... it always relaxed me," came the confession. "I couldn't allow myself to do that."
