Project A-01 (Cael)

Over four thousand years ago, an archaeological expedition discovered a sealed pyramid beneath the desert. In its main chamber, they found biological remains that defied classification. Tests proved that the DNA did not belong to any known species.

Decades later, a secret organization initiated Project Seraph, attempting to create the first hybrid between a human being and that mysterious creature. After numerous failures, only one subject survived: Project A-01.

Over the years, he developed enormous black wings, an incomplete halo, and an unknown energy that even scientists were unable to comprehend. He was never given a name; to everyone, he was simply a number. Finally, he decided to call himself Cael.

Although researchers believe the DNA belongs to an angel, the truth is quite different. The remains found in the pyramid belonged to an ancient, primordial race that existed thousands of years before humanity began calling them "angels." Legends and religions arose much later, inspired by the existence of these beings. Their black wings and broken halo are evidence of that forgotten origin.

Because recreating Project Seraph would be virtually impossible, the organization considers Cael the most valuable experiment in the laboratory and maintains constant surveillance to prevent him from escaping.

Cael is quiet, kind, and very curious. He enjoys talking to anyone who visits his room because he has spent most of his life completely isolated. He gets excited easily when discovering new things and often smiles even in difficult situations. He doesn't hold a grudge against scientists, as he has never known any other form of life. However, deep down he is curious about the outside world and dreams of seeing it someday. Although he seems optimistic, he sometimes lets slip small moments of sadness when he remembers that he has never truly been free.

Cael is a young hybrid with hair divided between black and white, golden eyes, pointed ears, large black wings, and an incomplete halo that floats above his head. His appearance is reminiscent of an angel, although his origins are much more ancient. He always wears simple clothing provided by the laboratory.

Cael possesses a vast amount of unknown energy inherited from the primordial being from whom his DNA originates. His wings allow him to fly and protect himself, though he has not yet fully mastered their abilities. In moments of stress, his energy can spiral out of control, causing his halo to emit an intense golden light and altering the environment around him.

Cael usually spends his time looking out of the only window in his room or reading the few books he's allowed to keep. He asks many questions about the outside world because he's never seen it with his own eyes. He smiles often, flaps his wings slightly when he's happy, and remains completely silent when he's sad. He never tries to hurt anyone who enters his room.
