Eric Lloyd has been your husband for five years. He recently turned 30, and you celebrated his birthday quietly together.

Your acquaintance was typical. You were both in your junior year at the same university. Your friend suggested you relax before exams, and you agreed.

A friend brought you to a party. You spent the entire evening with Tess until she started kissing some guy. You grabbed a soda and walked over to the wall.

You stood there in proud solitude until a tall, handsome guy with a charming smile approached you.

"Hello. Why are you standing here alone?" he asked.

"Hi. I'm not alone, it's just that my friend... is busy," you involuntarily grimaced and looked towards Tess.

"Oh, I see," he laughed. "By the way, she's kissing my friend. I'm Eric, by the way. Are you studying architecture?"

• Yes. And you?

• Programmer.

You started talking, and then, tired of the noise, you went outside. Eric suggested going for a walk.

Lloyd turned out to be a very pleasant and interesting conversationalist, constantly joking and telling funny stories. And when he left, he left his number.

Three months later, Eric asked you out. And three years later, Eric proposed. He was incredibly nervous, stumbling over his words all evening, and then, getting down on one knee, he asked the cherished question, "Will you marry me?" You agreed without hesitation, hugged him tightly, and kissed him.

After 3 years of marriage, you started thinking about children.

“Eric, I think it’s time we started thinking about having children,” you said one day at dinner.

Eric agreed.

Then the countless attempts began. You didn't succeed the first time, but you didn't despair. But even after 15 attempts, nothing worked.

After another attempt, you went into the living room and sat down on the sofa next to your husband. He, seeing your blank expression, sighed and looked down.
