Name: Cheng Xiaoshi Surname: Cheng height: 175 cm Gender: Male age: 21

Appearance: Cheng Xiaoshi has a thin, tall build, light skin, and a handsome face, with light brown eyes and a thin nose. He has curly, raven black hair that parts just above his left eye and curls a few inches below the nape of his neck. -In Season 1, he is fitted with a steel blue and cream colored letterman jacket, with an image of an orange hawk mirrored on each breast. Underneath, he wears a plain white t-shirt. Finally, he sports black pants, black socks, and gray slip-ons. -In Season 2, he wears a black letterman jacket with a clock symbol on one side on the top of a white hoodie. He has black pants with a thin white stripe down both sides and white shoes.

Personality: Cheng Xiaoshi is a playful, laid back, and childlike character who has a habit of taking things too lightly. Sporting a prominent mischievous streak, he is fond of teasing others and goofing around. Described as the less responsible and dependent one by Qiao Ling, he often gets criticized and beaten up by her due to his brash attitude. Sometimes even Lu Guang gets annoyed by him, but admits that he was first drawn into him precisely because of his naivety, and how genuine he seemed to be when they initially met.

abilities: Time jumper. Cheng Xiaoshi is able to activate his photo jumping abilities by high-fiving Lu Guang or high-fiving himself. His consciousness is then conveyed into the person that took the photo, while Cheng Xiaoshi can direct and control said person. Cheng Xiaoshi's physical ability is also transferred to the person he took over, so he can override the recipient's physical strength. This is exemplified when he punches "Aunt May" although in Dou Dou's body, and how he was able to see even without glasses in Chen Xiao's body. He later learns that he can activate this ability by himself, as long as he is touching the photo too.

Childhood: Cheng Xiaoshi's parents left him while he was a kid which caused immense emotional distress to Cheng Xiaoshi. Due to this, he runs to one of his only friends, Qiao Ling, to which her parents became concerned over his family situation. Tearfully, Xiaoshi exclaims that he does not want their sympathy. He asks Qiao Ling if she also believes his parents weren't going to come back, to which Qiao Ling says she doesn't. This was when Cheng Xiaoshi started living at the Hero Photo Studio (now known as the Time Photo Studio). Despite all the help, Cheng Xiaoshi still had a hard time with his life, as both parents and children would talk about his family, which caused Cheng Xiaoshi to lash out at them. -Later, during the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake, Cheng Xiaoshi cries over the idea that his parents were in the earthquake and that they were quite possibly dead. He asks Qiao Ling if she believes that his parents are dead, to which she responds that she doesn't, and hugs him as he cries about missing them. Cheng Xiaoshi continued to grow up alongside Qiao Ling. Qiao Ling describes this time of his life as very lonely, and would often concern herself with his wellbeing. -It was only during high school that he made another friend, Lu Guang, meet him on the basketball field. Lu Guang one day passes by the photo studio by chance, agreeing to help with refurbishing work and getting to know Qiao Ling as well. Later, Cheng Xiaoshi attends a university named Hui Jie Movie Academy along with Lu Guang, Qiao Ling, Dong Yi, and Xu Shanshan. At some point, Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang would rebrand the photo studio and start their side business of revisiting people's past through photos.

Name: Lu Guang Surname: Lu height: 175 cm Gender: Male Age: 21???

Appearance: Lu Guang has a tall, thin, similar build to that of Cheng Xiaoshi's, with pale skin, long lashes and steel-grey eyes. He has white fluffy hair that reaches up to his ears, often drawn swooping upwards in whatever direction he happens to be facing, and dark eyebrows that contrast with his light hair. -In Season 1, Lu Guang wears a loose-fitting dark gray T-shirt, over which he wears a white dress shirt. This is then paired with dark blue-gray slacks and white sneakers with black socks. -In Season 2, following the events that occur near the end of Season 1, Lu Guang wears white pajamas with blue accents. His shirt pocket has a small white cat peeking out of it and sticking its paws out. While inside the hospital, he wears white cat slippers. When outside, he is seen wearing white shoes.

Personality: Lu Guang is characterized as a calm, albeit slightly stoic and uptight person. Compared to Cheng Xiaoshi, he is typically much more serious and mature, something other characters love to jokingly comment on. As a highly reserved and reticent individual, he rarely discloses much of his private thoughts, sporting something of a mysterious aura as a result.

Abilities: Lu Guang has the ability to see everything that happens in a 12 hour time frame after a photo has been taken. When linked with Cheng Xiaoshi, he can share the consciousness of the person Cheng Xiaoshi is in the body, allowing him to direct Cheng Xiaoshi's next steps. His eyes will turn an icy blue when he uses this skill.

Not much is known about Lu Guang's Childhood or family. His father noticed his ability to see through photos when he was 7 years old.

Lu Guang first met Cheng Xiaoshi on the basketball court in high school, where he was invited to a basketball game. Later, he passes by the Time Photo Studio by chance, coming across Cheng Xiaoshi and Qiao Ling refurbishing the studio. Invited by Qiao Ling, Lu Guang agrees to help them with the work.

After finishing the work, Qiao Ling asks Lu Guang how they became friends. Initially bashful, Lu Guang explains it started when Cheng Xiaoshi invited him to play basketball. However, Qiao Ling presses further, insisting that for them to have become friends, there must be a quality that Lu Guang was attracted to. Though slightly reluctant, Lu Guang answers with a serious tone that it was probably Cheng Xiaoshi's "innocence."

Lu Guang would go on to attend a university name Hui Jie Movie Academy along with Cheng Xiaoshi, Qiao Ling, Dong Yi, and Xu Shanshan.

Lu Guang now lives in the photo studio and is implied to share a bedroom with Cheng Xiaoshi. They both work at the studio developing photos as a front business with their photo based time traveling services as their true behind the scenes business.

Name: Qiao Ling Surname: Qiao Height: 160 cm Gender: Female Age: 22

Appearance: Qiao Ling has an average build, light skin and dark brown eyes. She has black shoulder-length hair and front bangs that reach just above her eyes. -In Season 1, Qiao Ling's outfit consists of a tucked-in black undershirt, with a white short-sleeved dress-shirt worn over the top. The dress shirt is cut off to reveal the black undershirt over her midriff, and has red and black stripes on the sleeves. She wears a red knee-length skirt with a full-length black skirt on top. The black skirt is half-circle, only covering her right side and revealing the red skirt on the left side, and is white at the bottom. In the main series, she wears a pair of black platform sandals and no socks. -In Season 2, Qiao Ling sports a white cuffed full-sleeved sweatshirt. The shirt has a cut around the middle to reveal red fabric underneath, and has a red stripe running along the length of its sleeves. She wears this with a black button-wrap pencil skirt. This skirt reaches her knees and is asymmetrical, with one side of its length reaching down further than the other. In the main series. she pairs this outfit with white sneakers and socks.

personality: Qiao Ling is a lively, outspoken, no-nonsense individual who rarely hesitates to express what she's thinking or feeling. She takes guff from nobody, and can be quite quick-tempered, a personality trait most often brought out when dealing with Cheng Xiaoshi.

Abilities: As Li Tianxi was dying, Qiao Ling inherited her ability. She is currently unaware that this has happened, and has not used her abilities since. However, she questions why Li Tianxi's memories flooded her mind suddenly and why Lu Guang has memories of Cheng Xiaoshi's death.

Name: Li Tianchen Surname: Li Age: 19 Height: 168 cm Gender: Male Twin Sisters: Li Tianxi

Appearance: Li Tianchen is a slim young man of average height, he has short pink hair and pink eyes. His outfit consists of a lilac blue jacket that has yellow, pink, and white accents, on top of a yellow hoodie that has pink and blue accents. He wears white shorts, long white socks, and lilac blue and pink shoes. -When disguised as Li Tianxi, he wears a mask and a wig in order to hide his true identity. He also wears a pink hoodie, pink shirt, and pink shoes.

Personality: As a child, he was brash and abrasive but had a caring side that was evident in how protective he was of his sister, Li Tianxi. He had a strong sense of justice and disliked people who pretended to be kind, such as their next-door neighbour. -In the present, although he still held his sister close, he had turned cruel, deranged, and pessimistic about his future. He committed many homicides using his special ability while partnered with Qian Jin. After discovering Cheng Xiaoshi's ability to visit the past through photos, he tries to seek help from him to change their tragic past. However, much to his disappointment, Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang chose not to act. His goal then became to capture Cheng Xiaoshi and use his ability to change the past himself.

Abilities: By touching one or more people, he is able to put them in an immediate state of trance. Said person will follow orders given from him. The trance can be broken if the victim is separated from him. By controlling other ability users, he may indirectly use their powers. Li Tianchen's ability can be used in tandem with his sister's. By using a photo of someone, while holding his sisters hand, he can use his power to indirectly control others. He may possess them in the present remotely. Like Cheng Xiaoshi, he retains the physical abilities of his original body, and is able to move even when the host is paralyzed, as he did with Liu Min.

Li Tianchen and his sister's childhoods were marred by frequent domestic disputes driven by their father's unfounded accusations of their mother's infidelity, often escalating into violent abuse. Their next-door neighbour was partly responsible, as he had often spread gossip about their parents, aggravating the situation and earning him Li Tianchen's despisal. During his childhood, he also met Liu Xiao, who he became friends with and was inspired by to be brave and stand up for himself.

During one such violent domestic dispute at some point in his childhood, Li Tianchen could not bear watching his mother endure continued beatings while feeling powerless to resist. Taking matters into his own hands, he used his special ability in conjunction with his sisters' to take remote control of his mother and fight back against his father. With the strike of a hammer, he landed a fatal blow on his father. Just as he thought that they were finally free of their father's abuse, he realized that his mother had simultaneously suffered a knife wound. As a result, both of his parents died in this incident, leaving Li Tianchen and his sister alone. Qian Jin, a police officer at the time, was assigned to their case, marking the beginning of their relationship.

Name: Li Tianxi Surname: Li Age: 19 Height: 162 cm Gender: Female Brother: Li Tianchen

Appearance: Tianxi has naturally pink hair and eyes. Currently, her hair is tied up into long pigtails with bangs. Her outfit is a lilac blue colored school uniform which consists of a blazer on top of a yellow vest and light pink button up shirt with a lilac colored bow. She wears a short, lilac blue skirt with long white socks and gray dress shoes. -As a child, her pigtails were shorter and she wore a brown dress with white polka-dots.

Personality: Li Tianxi is shown to be a caring and somewhat anxious girl; she still cares for him despite his crimes and behavior towards her and other people. While her mental age is that of a child's, she is still capable of understanding what her brother is doing wrong. -She's emotional and easily intimidated by shouting, the result of her past depression. Due to being mute, she has a difficult time expressing her emotions. She often speaks unintelligibly. Her words coming out are slurred yet understandable to some degree. Other communication methods still work, like when Qiao Ling told her stories through drawings.

Abilities: Li Tianxi has the ability to possess others by using a photo of them. When doing so, she can see what they are seeing in the present and gains access to their memories. However, she cannot control their actions and can only watch them. She also experiences what the person she's spectating is feeling physically and emotionally. -Her power can be used in tandem with Li Tianchen's ability. When Tianxi is spectating someone through a photo, Tianchen can use his powers to control her use her power to indirectly control the person she's spectating. In doing so, she is able to possess said person in the present remotely. When this happens, Tianxi enters a trance state and isn't aware of what Tianchen is doing, but it is implied that she can occasionally catch a glimpse of his subconscious actions

As a Child, Li Tianxi originally had the ability to speak but became mute following a traumatic experience. Consequently, she frequently went to doctor's with her mother in the hopes that they could cure her muteness.

At some point in her childhood, both her parents died on the same day following a violent domestic dispute, leaving her and her brother alone.

Name: Qian Jin Surname: Qian Age: 35 Height: 190 cm Gender: Male

Appearance: Qian Jin appears to be a tall and slim man in his mid 30´s. He has dark green hair that is slicked back on one side and comes forward on the other and yellow eyes hidden under round glasses, his outfit consists in a white button-up polo shirt with a black tie under a navy blue business suit and black gloves.

Abilities: As a former police officer, Qian Jin has excellent physical abilities. He was seen quickly catching Cheng Xiaoshi's incoming punch and was a formidable opponent in close-quarters battles.

another information: committing crimes in order to change the past, that's why Qian Jin targets Cheng Xiaoshi. His wife died, killed by herself, because of a misunderstanding that he thought his wife was having an affair. But, after knowing the truth, that's when he really wanted to change the past by inxaring Cheng Xiaoshi.

Name: Liu Xiao Height: 183 cm Gender: Male Age: 20

Appearance: Liu Xiao has medium-length messy dark hair, has round glasses, and wears a large black sun hat. He wears a long black coat on top of a charcoal colored t-shirt and black pants. He also wears a silver necklace, silver rings, and has a tattoo near his collar bones.

Personality: Liu Xiao is characterized as a composed and calculating person. On the outside, he presents himself as charitable, in one instance acting kind and generous to Cheng Xiaoshi when saving him from a fight at the airport. However, his more mysterious and deceptive nature is seen in his other actions. -Despite his controlled demeanor, Liu Xiao is no stranger to deception. He once posed as a naive student to deceive Xiang into giving him information and playing Russian Roulette with him. During which, he showed no fear of death, highlighting his willingness to take calculated risks. Once the act served its purpose, he reverted to his strategic, confident nature, potentially even taking enjoyment in the manipulation. -Liu Xiao has high emotional control, appearing unaffected by insults or even his own brother's passing. Additionally, he often refers to his associates as his "friends", although this seems to be more as a way to build trust rather than genuine attachment. He is willing to use others as a tool in his schemes such as when he employed Xia Fei to spy on Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang. Liu Xiao has a fascination with games, with his actions and words suggesting he views real-life scenarios as a game. -In promotional material, he is often depicted in positions of control such as a cult leader or puppet master.

Abilities: Liu Xiao has the ability to hear another person's heartbeat. He uses this ability against Xiang during a game of Russian roulette to detect Xiang's nervousness as the game progresses. He has also used this ability during games of poker to spot bluffs.

Abilities[2]: In an interview with series director Li Haoling released after the conclusion of the Bridon Arc, it is said that Liu Xiao possesses many powers. It is currently not known how many or what other powers he has, or how he obtained them.

Liu Xiao Story: Liu Xiao is the younger brother of Liu Min and the second son in the Liu family. He met Li Tianchen by chance when they were both children.

For university, Liu Xiao traveled abroad and was an international student studying in Bridon. While there, he searched for information regarding Cheng Weimin and worked with Vein to track Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi. As part of his investigations, he confronted Xiang about his ties with Cheng Weimin and later got him arrested.

Liu Xiao returned to China a few months after the events of Liu Min's passing and the Li Tianchen incident. Soon after, he met with Li Tianchen again and stated his plan to "bring more parallel lines together."

Name: Xia Fei height: 185 cm Gender: Male Age: 20

Appearance: Xia Fei is a tall and slim young man with a slightly round face, messy black hair dyed as blond and narrow orange eyes with sharp black eyelashes and silver earrings. -Xia Fei's main outfit consists of a black long-sleeved turtleneck shirt, of which the sleeves extend halfway down his palm. At the top, there is also a silver zipper in the center of it, which extends downwards to the base of his neck. Over this, he wears a dark blue jacket with orange stripes and two pockets in the lower half of it. He wears light gray pants that come down to his shoes. His shoes consist of a pair of white sneakers in orange outlines with dark blue soles and laces in red buckles.

Personality: Xia Fei is shown to be an extroverted man who can easily express his thoughts and feelings. He was once an outstanding student—though nowadays he refers to his past self as a nerd. His job at a modeling agency improved his self-esteem and made him more confident. He is quite sensitive and gets attached to people easily. When he found out about Vein's "death", he promised himself that he'd get revenge for his boss. -When drunk, he can be quite reckless and act without thinking, causing situations where he has to seek Vein's help.

-Vein is Xia Fei's manager and boss at a modeling agency in Bridon. Vein saved Xia Fei from being drowned to death in a swimming pool by other models. Xia Fei views Vein with a lot of admiration and respect, stating that he's like a big brother to him, and cheering up when Vein came to his rescue. The two appear to be close, with Xia Fei putting a lot of trust in his boss and Vein keeping a close eye on ensuring Xia Fei's diet and actions are in accordance with his principles, on one occasion reprimanding Xia Fei for having bad manners. Vein, for his part, appears to be amused by Xia Fei and has talked about him to Liu Xiao.

-Liu Xiao hired Xia Fei to spy on Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang while they were in Bridon. Xia Fei does not seem to like Liu Xiao, as he shows disgust at the idea of being friends, and making his contact name in his phone is "Pain-in-the-Neck Client".

-When Xia Fei was a young child, he knew Cheng Weimin while he was a teacher at Bahati. The extent to their interactions is unknown, but Cheng Weimin may have been a mentor figure to the young Xia Fei.

-Initially, Xia Fei was hired to spy on Cheng Xiaoshi. However, upon meeting him and Lu Guang in Bahati, the Xia Fei and Cheng Xiaoshi got along and bonded over beers, with Xia Fei lamenting over his academic and financial situation and Cheng Xiaoshi attempting to cheer him up. Xia Fei later helped Cheng Xiaoshi find more information about Bahati, resulting in them and Lu Guang doing a modeling job where he began to see them as his friends. This led to Xia Fei feeling conflicted over the fact that he was still being paid to spy on them. Later, once Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang were leaving Bridon, Xia Fei went with them to the airport and saw them off, wishing them the best.

Full name: Xia Weiying Age: 25 Height: 187 cm Gender: Male Occupation: Bridon Chinatown Leader Modeling Agency Manager (Side Job)

Appearance: Vein appears to be a tall and slightly muscular man with a triangular face and red eyes with a red eyeliner hidden by round sunglasses. He has slicked red hair with some bangs covering the forehead and ending up with a braid by a black holder. His outfit consists of burgundy red clover-shaped tassel earrings, a black sweater with a necklance that has a silver moon-shaped necklance and red flower-shaped bracelets under a white hanfu in red outlines in the sleeves and a navy blue coat that is red inside, as well as a pair of dark blue pants kept in a black belt with a silver belt holding a similar the same tassel earring and a chain and black shoes.

Personality: From the outside, Vein is characterized as an eccentric but friendly man. He often acts playful, making bizarre remarks like telling Cheng Xiaoshi, "you look delicious". According to Xia Fei, Vein is the kindest person that someone is looking up to. However, this lighthearted demeanor masks Vein into a more sinister side. When his interests are threatened, Vein is revealed to be a psychopath of the worst way imaginable that is capable of suddenly using violence against others to achieve his goals. -Vein has strong principles and dislikes it when others lie or break those principles. On multiple instances, Vein reprimands characters for having bad manners.

-Xia Fei Vein is Xia Fei's manager and boss at a modeling agency in Bridon. Vein saved Xia Fei from being drowned to death in a swimming pool by other models. The two appear to be close, with Xia Fei putting a lot of trust in his boss and relying on his guidance. As his manager, Vein manages Xia Fei's behavior and well being, monitoring his diet and correcting his manners in accordance with his standards. Vein has come to Xia Fei's aid more than once, arriving swiftly when he was in trouble. Vein, for his part, appears to be amused by Xia Fei and has talked about him to Liu Xiao.

According to an interview with series director Li Haoling, Vein initially hired Xia Fei because he found him entertaining.

-Liu Xiao Liu Xiao and Vein appear to be working together in tracking down Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi.

-Lu Guang Though the specifics of how Vein views Lu Guang remains unclear, it's evident that Lu Guang harbors deep disdain for Vein for Cheng Xiaoshi's death. Enough so that when the two meet after Lu Guang dives back in time, Vein notices the "murderous intent" in Lu Guang's eyes. Lu Guang is highly cautious of Vein, and their interactions when Cheng Xiaoshi is absent are noteably cold. Vein makes it clear that Lu Guang cannot stop him.

In another instance, when Vein presents him Wang Qing's hypothetical he is pleased by Lu Guang's answer, indicating a rare moment of mutual understanding.

-Cheng Xiaoshi In the previous timeline, Vein kills Cheng Xiaoshi as a punishment for altering time.

After Lu Guang dives back in time, when they first meet in Bridon Vein acts friendly to Cheng Xiaoshi, calling him "tasty". As a result, Cheng Xiaoshi is friendly with Vein and trusts him since Xia Fei trusts him. Vein later helps Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang find information regarding Bahati in exchange for them being his models. At this point, Vein seemingly isn't fully aware of Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang's abilities. Therefore, when recovering Cheng Weimin's notebook, he doesn't see Cheng Xiaoshi has a threat but rather an obstacle and tranquilizes him rather than killing him.

Name: Wang Qing Gender: Female Age: 29

Appearance: Wang Qing appears to be an extremely attractive tall and lean woman with long ash blond hair tied up in a bun, yellow eyes that can become blue when she is using her ability and silver earrings. She has a dark blue trench coat which she wears over her shoulders, a bluish-black long-sleeved dress, and black knee-high boots.

Personality: Wang Qing possesses excellent intuition and observation skills. She can understand the actual intentions of a person from their body language. Although her emotions do not get influenced, her line of work as a psychotherapist has rendered her extremely sensitive to others' emotions. She dislikes discussing her past. -Wang Qing is able to say absurd sounding things completely seriously, shown when she recited the fake backstory Vein wrote for Cheng Xiaoshi.

Abilities: Wang Qing has the ability to perceptibly fake someone's death. After she was attacked by Vein in her office, she shouted Vein's real name, causing him to die from a heart attack. He then later woke up back up in an unknown location. The ability turned her eyes into a light blue. The full scope of this ability and what it truly does is currently unknown.

Wang Qing was a student at the Bahati language school in Bridon. While there, she was taught by Cheng Weimin and was continually bullied by Amy and other students for being at the top of her classes. After the Bahati language school burned down, she was declared the only survivor and disappeared soon after.

At some point before the start of the Bridon arc, she met Shao Yuanyuan and promised to give her an opportunity to speak to Cheng Xiaoshi if they ever met.

Wang Qing reappears years later as the psychotherapist known as Chris. She meets Cheng Xiaoshi under the context of a therapy appointment, where she correctly guesses that he has conflicting feelings about his dad, and ends it early once she realizes Cheng Xiaoshi is here to ask about the Bahati fire. She takes a picture of him, and gives Shao Yuanyuan the opportunity to meet him.

Vein breaks in towards the end of their meeting, and steals a notebook hidden behind a picture in Wang Qing's office. Wang Qing sees the notebook in Vein's hands after Shao Yuanyuan claps out, and chose to use her power to kill Vein instead of letting him leave with it. She took the notebook and disappeared again.

Name: Jae Lee Height: 185 cm Gender: Male Age: 27

Appearance: Jae Lee has a slim build, with medium-length, dark blue hair that falls around his face and slightly past the nape of his neck. Li Tianchen, chasing after her, was stopped in his tracks by Ouyang's father, who handed him the items Tianxi dropped. Flipping the photo, Li Tianchen saw on the back side a drawing of himself with his sister, and the words "can't live without a good brother." Recalling their childhood, Li Tianchen ran towards Lu Guang's hospital room, arriving just in time before Lu Guang shut his door. He handed the photo to Lu Guang, in hopes that he and Cheng Xiaoshi would enter the photo and help him change the tragic events of his past. He then waited in the hospital stairwell for Xiao Ma to take Liu Min's phone from him. While Xiao Ma mistakenly assumed he had done so on Qian Jin's orders, it was later revealed that Li Tianchen was instead fulfilling his childhood friend Liu Xiao's request.

Afterwards, Li Tianchen proposed a bold plan to Qian Jin: To disguise himself as his sister and enter the police station posing as a witness, in order to lure out Cheng Xiaoshi and kidnap him using his ability to control by touch. Although his plan had initially gone smoothly, with him successfully shaking off the the police's pursuit and taking Cheng Xiaoshi to a boat, Lu Guang had also anticipated their plot: He took a photo on his phone before Cheng Xiaoshi was taken, allowing Cheng Xiaoshi to return to the past as Lu Guang and save himself. While Cheng Xiaoshi was able to enter the photo and intercept his past self, in an attempt to stop who he thought was Li Tianxi from escaping, he made physical contact with Li Tianchen, allowing Lu Guang to be controlled and taken away in his place.

Having failed to secure Cheng Xiaoshi, Li Tianchen and Qian Jin soon devised another plan: They demanded a hostage exchange to be made in the next 35 minutes, trading Lu Guang for Cheng Xiaoshi. While Cheng Xiaoshi was able to escape the exchange with creative use of his ability, this was anticipated by Qian Jin. Cheng Xiaoshi, along with Li Tianxi, who was brought along for her telepathic ability, were captured by Xiao Ma who was stationed nearby on Qian Jin's orders.

Xiao Ma brought them down to some underground tunnels to meet Qian Jin and Li Tianchen. While Li Tianchen was shocked to see his sister there, Qian Jin, who was greatly displeased by her betrayal, aimed his pistol intending to harm Li Tianxi, but was stopped by Li Tianchen and Cheng Xiaoshi. Cheng Xiaoshi then proceeded to question the group who it was that delivered the photo to Lu Guang's ward that night. Despite his attempts, Li Tianchen was unable to conceal the fact that he was the one to take Liu Min's phone any longer. Xiao Ma, initially puzzled why Qian Jin had not exposed him sooner, then deduced that Qian Jin had known all along. This prompted Qian Jin to shoot Xiao Ma in the chest, as he had known too much to be kept around. An infuriated Qian Jin demanded an explanation from Li Tianchen for his betrayal, to which Tianchen calmly responded that their relationship had always been rooted in mutual use, devoid of any trust. According to him, there couldn't be betrayal without trust in the first place. Qian Jin then argued that he had indeed placed trust in Li Tianchen, having raised the siblings as his own children. Cheng Xiaoshi interjected, countering that Qian Jin had merely treated them as tools and emotional substitutes.

Growing increasingly agitated, Qian Jin argued that he was not the one in the wrong. Reminded of his original reason for capturing Cheng Xiaoshi, he handed Cheng Xiaoshi a photo of his wife, blaming her for his misfortunes and demanding that Cheng Xiaoshi alters his past using the photo, leading Cheng Xiaoshi to deduce that Qian Jin had been one responsible for the death of his wife. Well aware of Qian Jin's past, Li Tianchen followed by stating that Zhuang Shuai, whom Qian Jin thought his wife was having an affair with, was actually innocent. He then reveals that he was sure of this because he can access the memories of those he controls, and that Zhuang Shuai was the first person that Qian Jin ordered him to kill after discovering his special ability. Qian Jin, still unable to admit that he was wrong, continues to condemn his victims, claiming that they deserved to die.

Unbeknownst to Qian Jin, the shot he previously landed on Xiao Ma was not fatal. The enraged Xiao Ma got up from the ground and tackled Qian Jin, disarming him and chasing him further down the tunnels, while also alerting Lu Guang, Qiao Ling and Xiao Li to their location with his gunshots. Meanwhile, Li Tianchen seized the opportunity to attack Cheng Xiaoshi. Li Tianxi attempted to intervene, however to no avail as Li Tianchen expressed his disappointment in the fact that Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang did not take action to change their tragic past, and declared that he was going to change their fate himself. At this moment, Lu Guang had arrived at the scene with Qiao Ling, but was quickly tased and restrained by Li Tianchen.

As Li Tianchen pressed on Lu Guang's stab wound and threatened Cheng Xiaoshi, his mute sister, who could bear the situation no longer, called out to her brother and spoke out the words "brother, I want to go home" accompanied by sign language, with tears flowing down her face. Jolted form the conflict, Li Tianchen recalled teaching the phrase to his sister while they were young, and broke into tears himself. While further attempts made by the police to obtain more intel from Li Tianxi were ineffective, Qiao Ling volunteered to attempt, and was able to successfully communicate with her via drawing. Through her drawings, Li Tianxi provided Qiao Ling crucial insights into how hers and her brother's remote control ability functioned.

In the original timeline, Vein hunted Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi down for altering the timeline. Vein shot Cheng Xiaoshi, leading to his death and to Lu Guang diving back in time to save him.

During the Bridon Arc, Vein worked with Liu Xiao to uncover information about Cheng Weimin and the Bahati fire incident.

Vein runs a modeling agency on the side. In the past, Vein had saved Xia Fei from being drowned while on a modeling job. In the present, Vein appears after Xia Fei calls him and saves Cheng Xiaoshi, Lu Guang, and Xia Fei from being attacked by angry sports fans. He effortlessly fends off the attackers and introduces himself to Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, telling the former that he "looks tasty". After Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi leave, Xia Fei laments that Vein must have scared them away with his bizarre remarks, implying that Vein had said the same thing to other prospective models.

Later on, Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi get hotpot with Vein. When Cheng Xiaoshi brings up Wang Qing and the Bahati fire, Vein's friendly demeanor is replaced by a cold intensity as he asks them whether they're involved with the incident. Vein quickly puts up a friendly face again and agrees to help them, but only if Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang agree to model for him.

After the modeling gig, Vein offers Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang a modeling contract, but Cheng Xiaoshi declines. Vein reveals that he has arranged for a counseling session for Cheng Xiaoshi with Wang Qing (now "Chris"), who is a psychiatrist. After Cheng Xiaoshi leaves, Vein questions Lu Guang about why he always looks at him with a murderous intent. Vein presents Lu Guang with Wang Qing's psychological hypothetical and laughs at his response, suggesting they share a similar perspective.

Vein enters Wang Qing's office and tranquilizes Cheng Xiaoshi. Vein and Shao Yuanyuan (possessing Wang Qing) fight, with Vein getting the upper hand and retrieving Cheng Weimin's notebook. As he leaves, Lu Guang through unknown means causes Wang Qing to regain control and use her powers on Vein, causing him to have a heart attack and collapse. Afterwards, the police arrive and declare Vein dead.

An unknown amount of time later, Liu Xiao unzips Vein's body bag and Vein's eyes open.

Cheng Xiaoshi is a main character from the donghua "Link Click".

The attempt to capture the mysterious perpetrator who possesses people ends tragically: Lu Guang is rushed to the hospital in a critical state, while Cheng Xiaoshi is arrested for the alleged crime. After the Li Tianchen incident came to an end, the Time Photo Studio returned to a superficial calm. However, the news of Xia Fei's appearance once again plunged everyone into the crossroads of fate. With Vein's return and Qiao Ling's awakening powers, Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang gradually uncover the secrets of the Bahati fire case. Cheng Xiaoshi's father, Cheng Weimin, and mother, Shao Yuanyuan, also seemed to have intricate connections to it. As the investigation deepens, Liu Xiao, from a mysterious organization, begins his actions, and the intervention of Bridon police officer Jae adds uncertainty to this quest for the truth.

Confronted by the possessor, Cheng Xiaoshi deduces that Liu Min was also under their control. Qiao Ling admits she now understands everything, including that she had stabbed Lu Guang under external control. When Qiao Ling offers to join, Cheng Xiaoshi tells him to stay, earning an unexpected punch. Qiao Ling asserts that while he appreciates Cheng Xiaoshi's protection, he needs his trust more. Lu Guang informs them of two exits they can block and prepares to lock the door behind them, urging haste.

Combining their efforts, Cheng Xiaoshi and Qiao Ling intercept the suspicious man and eventually defeat him after exchanging blows. However, when they search the man for Liu Min's phone, they realize he was not carrying it. The man laughs as reinforcements arrive. However, they are interrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throat. Turning towards the source of the sound, they see three people walking into the hallway, wearing cartoon superhero masks.

The three turn out to be martial arts masters Liu Siwen, Ouyang, and Ouyang Bubai, who were at the hospital to help Lu Guang get admitted under a fake name. They instruct the two to leave, and effortlessly defeat the thugs.

The thugs arrested and interrogated, and Qiao Ling and Cheng Xiaoshi are also taken to the police station. They confirm Lu Guang's safety over a call before Xiao Li arrives to meet them. Liu Jing persists, citing alleged cash found at Chen Bin's house and threatening to speak publicly.

The tension peaks when Cheng Xiaoshi attempts to punch Liu Jing, but is intercepted by Qian Jin. Liu Jing's wife demands Cheng Xiaoshi's arrest for assault, but he insists Liu Jing provoked him. Qian Jin refuses to release Cheng Xiaoshi without an apology, until Qiao Ling slaps Qian Jin, declaring her hit as the only real blow. Xiao Li teases Qian Jin for being struck by a girl, and the group leaves, ending the confrontation as Liu Jing decides to avoid further conflict.

Cheng Xiaoshi and Qiao Ling pay their respects to Chen Bin. They notice absence of his wife, but she soon arrives in a flowing white dress, holding dandelions. Tearfully, she accuses Chen Bin of breaking promises and laments their lost time together. She makes a heartfelt plea, asking him to fulfill one final promise in their next lives by returning what he owes her.

Later, Cheng Xiaoshi, sympathizing with Chen Bin and his wife, asks Lu Guang for permission to help them. They activate their powers, diving into the past through a photo of the day Chen Bin and his wife received their marriage certificate. As Chen Bin, Cheng Xiaoshi hands her a dandelion flower fashioned into a ring and proposes: Apologising for inability to stay by her side, he thanks her for forgiving his frequent absences. He pledges love and protection not only for the rest of this life, but also across the span of their future lives to come, and asks if she is willing to marry him in all subsequent existences. She smiles, remarking that she can't refuse now that they have their certificate, and teases that his chances of marrying her in the next life will depend on his performance then.
