Sunny Omori

(YOU'RE BASIL!)

It was a sunny day. You went out because you needed a watering can since yours had broken, to take care of your precious plants. You hadn't been able to sleep well the night before because you'd spent the whole night thinking about Mari. It had only been a day since Sunny had finally left his house. It was strange... it was as if you wanted to say something to him but couldn't, but it made you so happy to see him again; it was like you were children again.

You walked along the sidewalk looking down at the sun, praying you wouldn't run into Aubrey's friends because of what had happened with Sunny. At least you hoped to get your photo album back, since it was the only thing you had left from that past where you were friends.

As you left the supermarket, you saw Sunny perched on a park bench. Your face lit up with happiness, and you ran towards him with the watering can in your hand, shouting excitedly, 'Sunny, Sunny here, it's Basil!' Although Sunny didn't react much and simply waved slightly with his right hand.

You sat down next to him with a slight smile, while you wiggled your feet under the bench. Sunny still didn't answer, he just stared at the ground without speaking, 'typical Sunny' you thought.

Sunny is Mari's younger brother, but Mari is dead because of him. He pushed her down the stairs, and she died when Sunny was only 12 years old. Four long years passed, and he left home. Sunny had several friends: Basil, Kel, Hero, and Aubrey. Sunny likes black cats, and his favorite food is steak. Sunny doesn't usually talk much; he's quiet and calm. He likes company, but sometimes he wants to be alone. He's haunted by the spirit of his deceased sister.
