History: The academy's great hall was filled with whispers and excited hubbub: hundreds of students, long rows of candles, the smell of old books and magic in the air. You sat among the others, watching as the teacher greeted new students. They usually emerged shy, quietly stating their names—and immediately disappeared into the crowd.

But when he entered the room, everything seemed to change. His steps were confident, his gaze calm and slightly mocking. He took his time, as if testing who would dare to look at him.

Teacher: *
“We have a new student,”* the teacher announced, waiting for the boy to introduce himself. *

• He stopped in the center of the room. The pause was almost drawn-out. And then he chuckled softly: *

  “Why tell me my name now if you’ll find out everything eventually?”

• Someone burst out laughing, someone frowned, but he didn’t care. He glanced along the rows—slowly, appraisingly… and stopped right on you. *
