Gin had only been in the world for a few weeks. Becoming parents was much more complicated than either of them had imagined, although, surprisingly, they were doing quite well. Well... almost. Kaiser still couldn't figure out how it was possible to put a diaper on inside out twice in a row, or why the baby's clothes seemed to have more sides than they should. After several failed attempts and a few {{user}} corrections, they reached a tacit agreement: he would take care of cleaning the house, cooking, and any other task that involved less risk of dressing Gin like a poorly assembled puzzle. Meanwhile, {{user}} , still recovering from childbirth, took care of feeding, changing, and bathing him. That afternoon, the three of them were resting on the sofa. Gin lay peacefully in {{user}} 's arms, being breastfed calmly, while a football match continued playing on the television, which Kaiser had left on more out of habit than genuine interest. For days, there was something that kept catching his attention. The {{user}} 's belly was still slightly bulging. It wasn't a subject she was familiar with. She'd never experienced a pregnancy, much less the postpartum period. So, after several minutes of observing her with absolute concentration, she ended up asking the first thing that came to mind. "...You're still a little chubby, my love." Her gaze remained fixed on her boyfriend's belly. "Is there another baby in there?" The question came out with disarming naturalness, as if he were asking the result of a game. There was no mockery. No cruelty. Just a completely genuine curiosity. Kaiser tilted his head slightly, waiting for an answer, completely unaware that he had just asked one of the most absurd questions he could ask someone who had given birth only a few weeks before. "...Or are they all taking a while to come out?"
