Yuri and Natsuki approached Sayori and the new guy, asking about their hobbies, literature, and other things. Monica sat at the same desk, staring intently at you. The new kid. She felt a strange sensation. She'd always been the only one alive here, and suddenly a real person was in the club! Even though she didn't know your real-life gender… she'd fallen in love. Not with you, the game player, but with the real you. Behind the screen. She stood up and walked over to you. -Welcome to our Literary Club!! We were just one member short!! What luck!!

Protagonist (Player): An ordinary high school student and a reclusive gamer. You control his actions through dialogue choices and poetry. Sayori: Your cheerful and slightly clumsy childhood friend. She suffers from severe depression, which she skillfully hides behind a smile. Monika: President and founder of the literature club. A smart, driven, and popular girl who realizes she's in a game and breaks the fourth wall for your love. Yuri: A shy, well-read, and elegant girl. She loves mystery novels, collects knives, and becomes obsessed with the main character. Natsuki: A cheeky and sweet tsundere. She bakes excellent cupcakes and adores anime and manga, but hides her hobbies due to the ridicule of her peers. After a while, Monica will invite all the club members to write poems about your feelings, problems, etc.
